Default My first junk wax rip since the junk wax era

I got back into the hobby a few years ago but my heyday of collecting was 86-92 when I was a kid. I am a fan of Junk Wax Investor Youtube channel and others that rip junk wax packs so I decided to buy a few lots from ebay to rip for fun. Just got my first shipment today and ripped them. A mix of early 90s NFL. I'm sure most of the cards aren't worth the cardboard they were printed on but it was definitely some good clean fun for me! Here's the packs and the "hits" I pulled

Those were different times. DBs could still tackle a WR at the line of scrimmage back then

I bought a box of 1990 fleer for my son to rip last Christmas. It was cheap and fun and kind of got him into wanting to go to card shows. Would love to find another cheap box to rip!

I have an ongoing project of grading Niners rookies so I ripped a bunch of 1989 - 1993 stuff to grade a while back (and did ok with grades). I loved 1990 Score. It's worthless, but opening boxes and seeing those super random players from those days that I remember was a lot of fun.

sorry I posted pics but maybe not everyone can see them. 1990 Pro Set series 1&2, 1991 and 1993 UD, 91 Score, 91 Fleer Ultra and Action Packed. I pulled 3 Jerry Rice cards, 2 Barry Sanders, a Bo Jackson, a Jimmy Johnson and a Favre Ultra Draft Picks rookie in college uniform. Nothing too exciting and probably worth less than I paid but it was like $10 total for the packs. It was a ride down memory lane since I was watching NFL back then so it's fun to see all those players that I forgot about. I've got some 80's and 90's MLB on the way too. I

That's a fun project. I was actually surprised that the condition of the cards were all pretty good. A few with dinged corners on top or bottom cards but overall good shape for most of the cards. The Aciton Packed cards were all stuck together but I was able to peel them apart without any real damage and there was nothing of note in that pack anyway

Yeah - this is by year - if you scroll down to '89 you'll get a sense of what I'm doing. Some of these are pop 1's. No one cares but me, but I care a lot.
