heart Kobe's 60

A moment I will never forget! Had the game on basically just for background noise initially but quickly realized something special was happening. I believe this same night the Warriors (who I disliked immensely at the time) were shooting for the win record. Kobe outshone. Legend!

I was at that game. Nosebleed seats, but I love every moment of it. Too bad I lost the free Taco coupons.

That was an incredible night. Seeing old Kobe kick it into a different gear insuring he didn’t lose his last game.

On 50 shots, which is the most since they kept track of this stat starting in 1983-84. That's even more than the night he got 81 (46 attempts).

I'm not trying to down play the feat but dude was just trying to get his. On the flip side, someone like MJ had more respect for the game and tok 15 shots his final game.

Thanks for sharing. One of many legendary performances. I still remember getting the call from one of my sons that Kobe had died and when I heard the news thought he was talking about my own son Kobe who was KB's namesake. It was such a weird set of emotions, on the one hand feeling elated once I sorted out that my son was fine but then the feeling of absolute devastation washing over me as I wrestled with the news that my b-ball hero had passed. I will never forget that day. My son Kobe turned 22 this year on June 18th (6+18=24).

It’s moreso the clutch/final moments of the game that make it special rather than the total game. To score all those points in the last few minutes while making a comeback , while playing heavy minutes, in your final game is legendary.

This absolutely sounds like you're downplaying the feat lol

Does it matter when they get the win and his shots are what that brought them back to win the game? Haters can hate and says he's hogging the ball if the team loses, but if the team wins, he's carrying the team instead.

Could there have possibly been a better way for him to finish off his career?? I was never a Kobe fan, but absolutely loved watching his final game. True to himself and his fans, simply one of the greatest Final games in a professional career ever. Wish he took 70 shots!

Also he shot a decent % and they were gonna defer even if he didn’t want it. Haters probably didn’t even watch the game just picked whatever stat fits the agenda.

Warriors broke the wins record and nobody cared. The night was all about Kobe. Im not a Lakers fan. It was arguably the greatest regular season basketball game to watch of all time.

Obviously, this being Kobe's last game, the world knew he had the green light to let it go. And he sure did. Again, it is impressive for a last game but personally, I would've taken the MJ approach (15 shots) and not try to make it all about himself.

But I can't hate on Kobe that much either. He wanted to go out in a blaze of glory and he sure did. But we also know anyone who takes 50 shots is going to score a lot of points alsp LOL. But like I said, can't hate on him that much.

But it's also true, the game was close and Kobe sealed the deal.

I mean... You sound like the guy that brings up how many times Babe Ruth struck out when people talk about his homeruns...

And context matters.

First and foremost, I think Jordan is the GOAT.

That said.

Kobe only had one final game.

Jordan's last game, he went to the bench towards the end of the third. Wizards also lost that game by 20...

Jordans last game as a Bull? 45 pts on 35 shots. It was a playoff game, but still. His last game as a Bull is a much closer comparison to Kobe's last game.

That was an amazing thing to watch, and I’m a Celtics fan who never really was into Kobe. I switched over from the Warriors game probably around 3rd quarter. The comeback and clutch shots at the end were unreal. It’s one of the few games that I will rewatch regularly.

I was at that game as well and actually got my ticket graded. It wasn’t the most efficient game but I can tell you from being in that building every possession we all wanted Kobe to shoot. I didn’t care if he shot 100 times and only score 10 points, we just wanted to watch Kobe.

Let’s not forget he was playing on one leg,one shoulder and one hip. Anybody who discounts this feat is a complete clown. They needed every point he was clutch like he always was his entire career. The Greatest Final Game ever! The accolades continue for Kobe!

Why have you suddenly been posting so much after a decade of having an account?

That last game as a Bull was Game 6 of the 1998 Finals. Yeah, context matters. LOL

Yeah, I started this account a while back thinking I would post regularly and just didn't. But recently, just felt the urge to. No specific reason LOL.
