Default PWCC Vault Question

I bought a couple items from PWCC fixed price marketplace and was wondering if it is better to have them first placed in the vault then have them shipped or if there is not a difference in having them go there first.

I want the cards in hand eventually, but didn't know if there were less fees one way or the other. Never dealt with PWCC.

Any help is appreciated!

There used to be a minimum time needed to sit in the vault to avoid state sales tax. That seems to have changed a bit, so if you can get away w/ shipping them direct without sales tax, I would do that. If they are asking for sales tax, then put them in the vault and then ship.

Thank you for the info!

You are obligated to pay a use tax when the items ship to you if you initially ship to the vault. But that’s your responsibility. PWCC does not collect it.

Do you know how much the use tax is? Really just want to know which route is cheaper to get the cards to me.

Depends on your state. I believe most charge the same as the sales tax.

Speaking of PWCC - their website has been incredibly slow for me lately. Anyone else experiencing this?

The auction part of their website is always really slow for me. Probably because of the live bids. The fixed listings section is quite a bit faster.

Bid early (like mid week).

Closing day is really slow. Lost out on some good cards cause it is so slow.

Anyone have any weird Vault values lately? Was looking the other day and a Kobe I have jumped up in value - I checked the last two auction comps and they were 25-33% of what PWCC just listed mine as...

Which is kinda weird considering they always skew so low - and some of my others are comically low right now.

Does anyone have a good contact for questions of this sort? Just email them and ask what's up? Will I have success telling them to move the values of some of my comically low ones up?
