I had a thick 130pt card sent to BGS for grading and received the following:
Center 9.5, Corner 6.5, Surface 9.0, Edge 8.5, the final grade is 7 However, when I check the POP of this card and found another one with Center 9.0, Corner 8.5, Surface 6.5, Edge 8.5, the final grade is 7.5 How Can my card final grade is 7??? Since we have the 3 subgrades the same, and I have 9.5 to beat his 8.5, then I get a 7 and lower than his 7.5. I don't get it, can anyone help here? Is this an error on BGS? Thanks |

it's a thick 130pt card...your corners are worse than the other one. Surface scratches grade "better" than corner dings on thick cards.
Pretty simple. |

The subgrades are weighted differently. The corners subgrade affects the total grade more than the surface subgrade.
