Really looking forward to this set. Fingers crossed they got Murray to sign, though I would be very surprised if he did.

Now were talking : )

Interested in the autographs only since I collected a bunch of actual painted animation cels from the cartoon.

Bill Murray
Dan Aykroyd
Sigourney Weaver
Ernie Hudson
Rick Moranis
Annie Potts
Get most of them and Im in. Gonna pick up any autos that they make but would be in for a bunch of boxes if they get Murray and Aykroyd.

I really hope they can get the top 3-4 actors to sign. If so I will break many boxes of this.

If they can get the main characters (especially Murray) to sign I'm all in. It looks like there won't be any memorabilia cards though. Makes sense being that it's a 30 year old film.

After the past few releases from Cryptozoic, unless it has the name Walking Dead on it, I'm not going to hold my breath for them to land Bill Murray. I could see Dan Aykroyd, Rick Moranis, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts getting into the set, which would make it awesome. I just don't see them being able to land a person like Bill Murray since he seems to not really be interested in this franchise anymore. If the autograph list is solid I'd buy a buyer.

My dream signer? William "this man has no dick" Atherton.

^^^^getting bill Murray would be amazing no matter what company is making the cards. He has some "character flaws" and doesn't seem to care about pleasing fans or costars. I love him and Chevy Chase but if u don't know don't look up stories about them. Trust me you'll like them a whole lot better if u stay ignorant

Moranis might be a tough one to get too. He's pretty much left the industry. He didn't even come back for the Ghostbusters video game. I wonder if they might do a cut signature for Harold Ramis? 3 out of 4 Ghostbusters would be very nice.

I have a hard 18 inch vinyl Stay Puft that I have had for a long time now. It was my goal to get all four Ghostbusters to sign it. I met Ernie Hudson at a comic convention and he was the first to sign it. Then I met Dan Aykroyd at a Beverages and More when he was hocking his Crystal Head Vodka. I would bring the Stay Puft with me every year to SDCC in wild hopes that either Bill or Harold would be there. That never happened, and sadly after Harold passed away, my dreams of getting all four to sign it went with it.

A cut signature would be amazing to get of Harold. It would not come close to meeting him in person and having him sign my Stay Puft, but It would still be cool to display the card right next to my Stay Puft.

I will be buying multiple cases of this stuff hands down.

I have never actually opened any Crypto products before.

I know with Rittenhouse they usually have case incentive cards.
Buy 3 cases get this auto, buy 9 cases get this tripple auto, buy 16 cases, get a archive box, etc.

Does Crypto do anything similar?

I wouldn't hold my breath for Bill Murray signing. He really wants nothing more to do with the franchise. I am ok with all the other cast members signing though. I also wouldn't count on a Ramis cut. They haven't done anything like that in any other release so why start now? With it covering the cartoon as well as comics look for autos of random voice actors and illustrators to be set fillers.

Can't wait for this set.

This is on my wall. All graphs are slabbed ICs.

I really need to get a clearer picture of that.

Unrelated to the card set, but a little blurb on the new cast of Ghostbusters 3/reboot at the recent Saturday Night Live party:

even after all the bad things he said about the franchise, he showed up at the scream awards as his Ghostbusters character, They also had a cut autograph in the Tarzan set

Like baytowntex said, it's not that he wants nothing to do with the franchise, it's that he doesn't want to do another sequel. He still embraces the originals. Remember Zombieland?

Who you gonna bust? Also, good luck tracking Bill Murray down. He has no agent, no contact info. Not an easy man to find.

According to a dev from the video game he was a serious pain to get in the voice over studio, telling them at one point they'll need to record his dialogue on the golf course because he won't come in. The only way they got him was by giving him an obscene amount of money and percentage of the franchise rights and his performance was phoned in and awful. He only cares about money at this point.

But it still got done. I didn't say he wasn't difficult or greedy, just pointing out that he hasn't abandoned Ghostbusters.

IMO I see this as being Breaking Bad 2.0 with a bunch of irrelevant signers and none of the big names everyone wants. The first signer will probably be the librian from the opening scene followed by the hotel maid who gets her cart proton blasted. Hope I'm wrong.

I think the maid has the best line in the movie, her delivery is awesome. I quote it all the time.

The lady that played the Librarian was Alice Drummond. She was called by her actual first name In the movie. "Are you, Alice, menstruating right now?" She is actually still alive even though she is almost 90.

I may be in the minority, but I would love a collection of "random" character autos. Don't get me wrong, I want major actors as well, but I have seen Ghostbusters more times then most people can count. It is my all time favorite movie. There is not a character auto they can throw at me that I would say "who the hell is that?" I can not say that about most auto sets.

From the Librarian, to the stuck up "pale" musician, I want them all.

My #1 choice for a non major character auto for the set:
Reginald VelJohnson (Carl Winslow from Family Matters)
