Default Raw 52 Topps Berra & Rizzuto

I've been finding some incredible raw stuff on eBay lately and I just picked these two up. Assuming they aren't altered and are crease and wrinkle free (seller said they were), what do you think PSA is likely to give them?

Do these cards have to go through eBay’s new policy? Hopefully the card makes it to you in this nice of shape. I would just get nervous with the more people that handle this card. Awesome pick up!!

Playing Devil's advocate here, I can't find either card on "sold" eBay listings?

Also, and maybe it is just me, but I find some of your posts very questionable.

"PSA 5 1952 Topps Mantle for sale without any pics"
"What will this 79 OPC Gretzky grade"
"PSA 8 79 OPC Gretzky for sale"
"Career Kobe Bryant Tribute thread"
"1948 Leaf Satchel Paige PSA 4 or 5 trade"

The list goes on and on.

Apologies if I am wrong, but your posts always make me question what you post at times.

Wow. Ok man. Here's the sold listings:

Berra: [[removed until I receive my items]]
Rizzuto: [[removed until I receive my items]]

Here's the listing for the Gretzky OPC I bought as referenced in the other most recent thread on your list: https://www.ebay.com/itm/384701208725

I sold my 52 Mantle PSA 5 with Heritage a few months back. Here's the listing for that: https://sports.HA.com/itm/baseball-c...hare_btn_email . Feel free to call Derek Grady up to verify that sale.

Not sure what's questionable about me wanting to buy a 48 Leaf Satchel Page or owning some rare Kobe cards, but by all means please elaborate. Or you can just apologize. Thanks.

Absolutely beautiful cards. As for grades I’ve got Yogi at 7.5 and Scooter at 5. Good luck!

Thanks. Only a 7.5 for the Berra? Looks like an 8 at least to my eye

Where do you see the Berra being trimmed?

Bottom edge. It's especially noticeable near the LL corner.

The Berra is obviously trimmed. The borders are much smaller than the Rizzuto. Both the top and bottom look trimmed. The Rizzuto is a nice card, looks like a 5.5 to me.

Berra looks trimmed on bottom to me but not having card in my hand its hard to tell. I take several common cards and place them together once you get it to confirm size. If not trimmed and has no tiny dents creases or scratches i have it as a 7

I was thinking that the top might be too but the cut on the back top edge looks too normal.

You can't judge 1952s by their relative border sizes as they vary from one card to the next. There is no uniformity as there is in later Topps sets.

From the shadows in the image, I think the top looks cut, but it could be an illusion. I think the card is bowed a touch, which makes the card look uneven.

All 50s-70s Topps cards had size variance, but not that bad. It looks like bowing on both top and bottom to me like you see when cards are micro trimmed.

What I mean is that the size of the inner bounded image varies from card to card in the 1952 Topps series, so some cards can have more narrow borders than others and not be trimmed.

You might be right about the top of the card but I'd have to see it in person to be certain. We're in agreement about the bottom though.

Its tough to tell in a scan. I would say that I wouldn't bid on that card when looking at the scan.

But that's not to say a grading company won't find a slab with label saying 7 to put it in

Good luck with them.

Thanks. To my eye the Berra does not look trimmed, but I'll let you know how they turn out.

I agree with those thinking trimmed T/B on Yogi, 5 on Rizzuto, nice card.

The people who said the Berra looked trimmed were probably right. It appears to be a little short top-bottom, but I do have a couple 52 cards raw that are shorter. I'll probably send it in one of these days and see what happens but not holding out hope
