Default Does anyone know which set this Penny buyback auto is from?

I saw this Anfernee Hardaway buyback auto card on eBay, but I couldn't find any info on it on Beckett or Trading Card Database.

Anyone have any information on it?

Thanks!

Pretty sure that’s not a buyback. It’s something you could order through UD if I’m not mistaken.

With a print run of 500, it might have been an aftermarket company getting them signed for ShopAtHome or some other television show. Doesn't look to have Score Board embossing, but that kind of thing happened in the first junk wax era.

I'm still looking for the checklist for this one, but Upper Deck had a similar set in 1996-97.

Beckett has it listed as 1996-97 Upper Deck Autographs. It's a four card set (with Kemp, McDyess and Stoudamire). It may have been pack inserted - I'm not sure.

It’s not, I confirmed with a bunch of other penny guys that it's a ud store item.

Still sweet as hell and one I almost grabbed myself not long ago.

Yes, you are right. I think the pack inserted ones were numbered A1-4 and had a different back with COA. I see that this one is set numbered 88 so yeah, different set.
