Default Help needed! A Card Stolen From Me Returning From BGS Is Now on Ebay!

You may have seen my story, or maybe not. I had a high end LeBron rookie that FedEx "lost" in the mail on the way back from BGS back in June of 2020. I am still in a legal battle so I can't disclose much of the details, but basically, the card has surfaced. In the same grading case.

Has anyone dealt with this. I truly am at a loss as to what to do here but I cannot explain how infuriating it is to see MY card for sale via someone else.

Link down

But if you delete all the data prior to the item number and hit enter, it shows the listing.

I see Burbank sports cards has it listed... did you contact them?

i feel like since it's on burbank and not some randos listing it improves your chances of getting it back at least

Terrible situation, but if anything, at least you found it at a very reputable card store.
Burbank is very solid in my experiences with them. Highly likely the stolen card was sold to them. Reach out to them.. they might have information of where it came from.

Yeah I have reached out to them a few different places. Hoping they do the right thing here!

This is what I'm hoping. I was relieved to see it there actually.

They should have breadcrumbs of where this card came from.

Good luck! Hopefully you can get it back. For future reference, I had a few cards stolen in the mail and was told if they popped up, then I would have to get law enforcement to contact eBay to get eBay to work with the seller and take it down/recover the item. Because of that, I always tell people to file a police report so there's paperwork and it's hopefully a smoother process for them to get the listing taken down. I have yet to have my cards show up, so I haven't actually gone through the process myself.

Here's the card: https://www.ebay.com/itm/36359843962...AAAOSwzI1hewub
Burbank is a great store. What likely happened is the thief who stole it sold it to them. They buy tons of slabs from anyone who walks in the door. Call and ask for Ryan or Rob. They might remember who sold it to them.

Finding your missing card is a great start.
Hopefully the seller is willing to cooperate and you're reunited with the Lebron card.

Ps, if there is a police report out for this, wouldnt it technically be illegal to sell it once you know that?

All I can say is Burbank Sportscards are awesome people. Never balked at my messages and literally handed me the card a few minutes ago once ownership was confirmed.

Awesome!

Wonder if this was a consignment or the thief sold the card to them
