Retail Prizm???

Worth the pickup or not?? I had a friend tell me it was garbage. Interesting to hear that retail Prizm is considered garbage. Yea, maybe it's not retail Prizm basketball, but what is, amiright???

Rather buy 2016 Optic retail for cheaper.

With Red card 5% discount snd free shipping, the Megas at Target are not bad in the current market. Came out to $49 a box shipped after taxes. You get an auto per mega and lots of shiny cards.

But yes it’s unlicensed and apparently a print run to the moon.

Worth buying a few Megas and holding on to and see if any rookies pan out. Megas from 2018-2020 are selling for more than cost. Worst case you open it and have some fun.

The rookies for those seasons panned out and they had lower PR. With ‘21 you’re really gambling due to less scarcity and no standout rookie/chase cards. Factor in the 20% increase on Panini retail, and I can’t say with any confidence this year’s Prizm baseball will sell for more than cost a year from now.

You can get them for 40 on eBay free shipping. Just bought 6 at 39.95. Even with tax it’s much better than target. I wouldn’t buy more than 1 for 50 but for 40 I’ll take a shot. There’s a few rookies that maybe didn’t have great rookie seasons but you never know. Mountcastle, Hayes, Adell. No matter what you buy it’s a gamble/crap shoot and if your buying to open it’s a fun rip at retail prices. I’ll open 2 and hold 4 and see what happens.

It looks like there are two different Mega boxes out there. Many of the ones on eBay have 44 cards. The Target ones have 52 cards.

That said, if Panini manages to put a hanger cello fat rack “pack” of some sort cheaper than a blaster on to a shelf in front of me in the grocery store on a random weeknight (seems doubtful), yeah, I would buy one. One.

As always, it's a gamble.

My latest mega produced an India teal wave, Kelenic cosmic haze, Pache cosmic haze, Tatis carolina blue, and Mountcastle carolina blue. Oh and a gold /10 Jahmai Jones. If you get punched in the face with a bunch of rookies, it's good. If you don't, it's a catastrophe.

I generally don’t care for unlicensed but if you want to just pull a bunch of cool looking parallels it’s a fun rip. Secondary not as high but also means you can grab some cool stuff for cheaper.

It wasn't that long ago people were selling lots of Ohtani rookies for <$10, proclaiming Vlad was fat and wouldn't make it and claiming Tatis was going to be a scrub on here.
