Default Godzilla vs Kong

Eh, decent but not as moody as the previous entries.

Pretty freaking fantastic.

Not perfect and by no means an "intelligent" film, but it's miles beyond the brainless shenanigans of Transformers.

My 9 year old absolutely loved it. He asked me to watch it with him and I obliged. It's not horrible. We both agreed that the Hong Kong fight between Zilla and Kong was spectacular.

Probably the best way to do a "night fight" between giant monsters.

Yeesh, I couldn’t stand the Transformers except the first one.

It's amazing how similar story-wise Transformers and Pacific Rim are, but only one actually makes you feel dumber for having watched it while the other is just genuinely fun.

Godzilla v Kong is like Pacific Rim, but with a bit of actual history and nostalgia behind it.

It's the closest thing to a popcorn-flick we've had since COVID.

I mean [SPOILER] Godzilla blasts a freaking hole through the planet just to screw with Kong in the hollow Earth!

Loved PR. Gipsy Danger vs Leatherback is awesome. The Netflix cartoon is not bad, either.

If there ain't a guy in a rubber Godzilla suit stomping on model cards and buildings, forget it...

Fine movie but big miss...

This movie is definitely better with Gerard Butler.

Is anyone on here actually a fan of the original Godzilla vs movies? Or are all of you basing this off of the latest Hollywood versions? Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla.....Godzilla vs Mothra etc....because this is the closest we've had to those versions in a very long time.

Was very disappointed Godzilla didn’t recreate his flying kick move with Kong holding MechaGodzilla like he did with Jet Jaguar against Megaguirus.

I am a fan of the original ones! I agree with you. Did you ever play any of the Godzilla games on PS2, etc? One of my favorite games of all times.

Great to see Adam Wingard succeeding in the mainstream. He's got a few duds in his history, but also a couple of excellent low-budget thrillers ("You're Next" and "The Guest" come to mind) that are definitely worth watching.

The Guest is an awesome flick.

I thought it was hilariously entertaining. Worth the watch if you ain't got $hit to do.

That was Megalon, but yes that would have been awesome..

Overall better than I expected and a fun movie, but the inconsistency with Kong's size bugs me, he seems small at times but then just as big as Godzilla at other times.

Maybe we could collaborate and start a new genre.

Something with an experimental 28/3 time signature?

When I was very little, like in the very early 80s, there was a half hour or hour version they’d show each weekday that was spliced together from the old movies. I’m sure they were terrible but my five year old self loved them.

Friend and I were watching. He goes, "What's up with this music? It doesn't even go with the movie."

I was like, yeah, it's the Guardians of the Galaxy effect. All these directors think the only thing stopping an action movie from being a hit is sprinkling in classic songs for the 70's and 80's.
