Default Opinion: Upper Deck Christina Aguilera Autograph Value?

I own one but been considering on selling it. Just like my Jessica Alba and my other celebrity cards, I just think as they get older, less hype, and out sight out of mind. These cards don't appreciate as much as sports cards. So in terms of value, I was thinking due to its rarity (about 250 signed or less), the card should be worth between a Jessica Alba Dark Angel and Emilia Clarke GOT value?

I sold my Dark Angel Alba for $2500 a couple months back locally. Then I know Clarke GOTs are going anywhere from $4k-$6k. So would you agree I can get about $4k or more on the Aguilera? I've already gotten several offers in the $3k range but not in a rush to sell.

This is the picture for reference

Take the offer for 2500 Or run it at a 7 day auction and find out the true value.

$2500 seems like a fair offer for that card

And thank you for this thread I had no idea Clarke autos went up that much. I may have to dig out my S1 and S2 autos and sell at least one of them that's CRAZY how much they've gone up.

If I got an offer of $3K for that card, I would have immediately driven it over to their house.

as others have said, take the $2500-3000 and run.

Christina Aguilera is no where near the realm of Jessica Alba and Emilia Clarke in terms of popularity

I swear I saw her at the state fair 22 years ago walking under the grand stand.

It had to have been her. The year 2000. She was petite and had a not-Minnesota look to her, walking under the grandstand area by the KFAN booth. I would have taken her picture but phones back then were, you know, phones, not mini computers.

Really tough to put a value on cards anymore, especially a card like this that almost never changes hands. $3K seems good to me, but I'm terrible at trying to put a value on things.

I'd take it and run. At some point, she'll be signing annual Christmas albums on her website for $20. Probably, anyway. Not worth the risk and you correctly identified why in your initial post. These kinds of pieces run out of time for interest from a vast majority of potential collectors.

4-6 k has been for her rarer autos from newer sets, I don't believe S1 or S2 non-graded autos have ever gotten that high unless I missed it.

Totally missed you being in MN…state fair just reminded me of that as I think they show trivia questions on the screen before concerts

I've pulled 2 out of packs. Sold one about 15 years ago, and still have the other.

I remember a non-sport magazine always pricing it at $999 (maybe 15 years ago). At the time they rarely changed hands. I would guess that they are a lot more scarce now than they were then. $2500-$3000 seems like a fair price. A PSA 9 or 10 might bring considerably more, so I would consider grading when PSA pricing become reasonable.

That's why I'm thinking if I were to sell, I'll probably start it off in the $4k-$4500 range. I think that's a fair price knowing the rarity of this non-sport auto. The people that's been inquiring are usually collectors of rare non-autos (i.e. jolie, emma, emilia, johnny depp, downey, gal gadot, etc). As for grading, maybe but i doubt it'll gem.

I don't think I've ever seen one of these with a crisp clean auto. I remember seeing a video back in 2010 or so of someone pulling one from a pack and it was stuck to the card infront of it. When pulled apart the auto was trash/faint.

Those cards were really glossy, if I recall correctly. No idea why UD didn't have ones without gloss for her to sign. Made no sense. It's not like they weren't experienced in obtaining autographs at that point. Was breaking those by the case once they were on clearance. Never pulled an auto, but you'd always make your money back just selling the base sets for a few dollars.

I'm planning to consign with goldin for their "walking dead auction" that will be promoted during the New York Comic Con. Good idea or just wait when some more hyped news come out? I just know she's coming out with another album.

I also owned this autograph card WAY WAY back in 2000 and sold it a couple years later when she was on top of the world! (I parted ways with it for $800 back in 2002) I still have the box, wrappers, and base set but the auto had to go as her popularity was the highest it ever was! They don't pop up on eBay very often but when they do, they always go for less and less...Sadly, her flame has really faded out...that's the way it goes in POP music...

(I still have the picture of the one I had TWENTY YEARS AGO! ...time flies...)
