2/24: 2020-21 Panini Prizm Premier League Soccer

Which one would you invest in if you had to choose one?

At current prices I think both are helium filled.

Prizm I think is going to be a disaster of a product to open. Maybe to hold, too. And I think the ultimate test of this propped up market. They are making SOOOOO Much of it. Maybe not compared to basketball. But it's getting close. 12 SKUs is banana land. They could do ANYTHING with PR. 42 parallels plus silver and base.

Topps Chrome got pushed back... so you already have that working against you... and I think it is "better" than prizm at current prices, but mainly because there are some potential guys in it that could give it a nice boost. The challenge is I don't know how it beats Haaland/Fati. And with the (based on my estimates) 2.5x increase in the Print Run, it would have to REALLY beat Fati/Haaland for me to think that it's a better buy at similar prices ($650 for current, $550 for 20-21).

17 PSA 10 Base Chrome Mbappes are still in that 600-700 range. 18 Felix base PSA 10s are 300-400. Haaland Bundesliga PSA 10s base now jumping over $1k. UCL $500-600. Fati similar.

"Rookies" will drive these products. I've seen some speculation on how "good" 20-21 Chrome could be. I think there could be some nice names that may get a lot of early hype, but I don't know that I'd take any of them over any of those 4 for recent rookies. I've not seen anyone in Prizm that gets me anywhere close to these others.

So... at steady state... what could cause 20-21 UCL chrome at 2.5x the printed volume to go above (well above) where 19-20 UCL chrome already is? Maybe irrational behavior early... but at some point that comes back to earth.
