Someone made the suggestion that he needed his own thread after crushing sprung training this year, so I figured I would start it off. Here are some of my favorites!

Dang you weren't kidding. Great stuff! Kid is obviously very talented and lighting it up this spring. Needs a full healthy season to flash his skills!

Tg biggest difference to me is even after a monster spring Hays cards sell for a fraction of what Birds did. The risk is still quite low IMO. The injury history tempers enthusiasm

Big market is the difference...but Hays is actually good and comparing him to bird is just an insult.

Very aware, and I was also very well aware that he wouldn’t amount to anything great like Yankees fans were hyping him up to be. Hays and Bird shouldn’t even be in the same conversation as each other yet here we are.

Always have been a fan of Hayes. His path makes me think of Paul Goldschmidt. Could be completely wrong statistically. But just a guy who was knocked for a few years, and next thing you know hes 3 years into his career with damn good stats. But considered to old...

You're joking, right? You seem delusional to be honest. I simply mentioned Bird after someone talked about this guy having a good spring. YOU took it to the next level |

An Austin Hays solo thread? Almost as bad as the Luis Garcia thread

He's helped me sell a lot of cards the past two weeks so I'm grateful. I've owned almost all of his Topp's Supers at one point or another I hope he can stay healthy and have a solid year.

I love this kid's moxie. He loves to play the game.
I spent about $250 give or take in the offseason to stash. I don't know if I'll be able to make any money on him but I now have a vested interest in watching him more. I'll get some pics up later of my pick ups. |

Again, BIRD! That’s the guy YOU brought up! I’m just saying, there’s no comparison. A guy who has been inconsistent all his career vs a guy who has played well when healthy.

Read this thread and thought, I'm sure I pulled a couple Austin Hays in 2018 Topps Chrome. Sure enough, I found 2 base and a Pink Refractor. I hope he continues to rip it up.
