thats the case for sending to TPG's. They dont want toploaders. From a security perspective, they are what they say, semi rigid unlike toploaders which are rigid

Do you mean preferred by grading companies?

A lot of the vintage guys use these because you can put more cards into boxes that way. THey're thinner than the regular toploaders. I like to use them to ship since the PO rejects toploaders in PWEs. So I just cardsavers. In fact, I've got to get online and buy a box because I'm down to just a handful.

Top loaders absolutely provide better protection, but for pure aesthetics and enjoying the beauty of a card, nothing is better than the semi-rigids (they’re even better than one-touches). The entire card shines through unimpeded. As you can tell, I love having my raw cards in semi-rigids.

Check out the new ProMold one touches that allow for penny sleeves. Those things are crystal clear. I like the semi-rigid ones for shipping, but always thought they look a bit tacky for some reason. My biggest issue with toploaders is that they are dark and cause some dimming. One thing I've wondered is whether any of them offer decent light protection that can prevent fading.

Yes, card savers are selling out everywhere due to they are the preferred way to ship cards to the grading companies (PSA,BGS,etc). Top loaders are more for a way for collectors to protect your cards and (when you sold a expensive card) use a top loader to protect the card during the shipping process. One-touch holders are used for displaying your cards because it protects them from sunlight (UV protection). Hope this helps!
