Default Kobe Topps Chrome Refractors

Have noticed a huge uptick in these the last few weeks. A 98 Chrome Refractor PSA 9 sold for $1,600+ yesterday.

Does anyone think these prices will sustain for the base chrome refractor stuff in high grade like 9s or 10s?

There are certain people trying to collect every Topps Chrome Kobe Refractor.

I guess that's what's driving prices. I want a 98 but not sure if I should just wait to see if they come down.

Don't own any chrome refractors just a few Finest and standard issue Topps insert refractors.

I don't even mean this for resale purposes, but I wish I never sold his bgs 9 Generations refractor. Picked up his Prodigy refractor much later on which I also love, but that die cut pair would've looked nice on display together.

I might be tempted to part with some of my double to chase something else, but I don't see myself re-acquiring any of them anytime in the future, without incurring an even higher expense...

Talked myself out of it already. That said, I need to post some in the Kobe Thread this week.

haha yeah man. I keep thinking I need to grab one now, but then think, "how much higher can they go?". Back and forth.

Look where LeBron Topps Chrome Refractors are at. Yes, these prices with Kobe will maintain and climb even higher.

I made this mistake with Jordan NBA Autos and Jordan 90s inserts.

Just noticed this today. I was about to put up an 06-07 chrome refractor for sale on here and checked prices on eBay... I’m like well it looks like it could possibly grade a 10. It’ll for sure be a 9 so I’ll try sending it in most likely.

I have a psa 9 finest refractor rookie of his too and the ending of last nights price was double the price from the last sale a month ago.

Glad I started buying his stuff couple years ago, when everyone was saying his cards will never be MJ or Lebron level. 5 rings and countless accolades and now he will no longer be signing autos ever again. Only thing I missed was not buying Panini autos at $100 sometimes under that.

Yeah they were sitting around 2-3k for a couple months while topps was going crazy. Was way undervalued during that time.
