Default 2025 Topps Chrome Marvel

Quote:

Introducing Marvel Chrome 2025 – the ultimate collectible for the iconic Marvel Comics brand.

The 200-card base set features all your favourites from Spider-Man and Hulk to Iron Man and Captain America, plus 1st Appearance cards for new Marvel icons such as Kid Juggernaut and Amaranth. There are also special “Clawed Chrome” base card variations, with Wolverine claw marks cutting through the cards.

Inserts include “X-Men Giant-Size 50th Anniversary”, celebrating 50 years since the comic that reignited the X-Men. You can also find “Future Stars”, “Marvel Icons”, “Marvel Anniversaries” and “The New Avengers 20th Anniversary” in every hobby box.

The guaranteed case hit is rotated between an array of incredible inserts, including individual, dual, triple and quad facsimiles, “Topps Patrimony”, “Indestructible”, plus more. The popular Shadowbox cards are part of Marvel Chrome 2025, over four different themes, including “50 Years Of Nightcrawler” and “Air Marvel”. “Marvel Reflections” is also part of the case hit rotation, featuring five unique pieces of original art on stunning Chrome tech.

“The One And Only” makes its first appearance in Marvel Chrome and this is the only way you can find a Chrome card of Loki, Elektra, Spider-Punk, Doctor Strange and The Punisher in the entire collection.

You can also look for a diamond card celebrating the 60th anniversary of Reed and Sue’s wedding, including a special confetti refractor. There’s also an autograph relic of The New Avengers 20th anniversary, featuring pieces of the original comic and Steve McNiven autographs. Look for relic cards of Marvel Zombies 20th Anniversary and X-Men Giant-Size 50th Anniversary, plus rare sketch cards from incredible artists.

Marvel Comic Book artist and writer autograph cards are also back for 2025, with one guaranteed inside every case. Also keep an eye on more Frank Miller sketch cards.

Guaranteed 4 numbered parallels per box, 6 refractors per box.

Hobby boxes will contain 12 packs per box, 6 cards per pack

Preorders on 20th May and this time in the US too following the acquisition of the license so the secondary market will fall in line with other US IP releases.

No surprise. I do think some of the secondary appeal of the 2024 set was the somewhat limited nature of it being dropped on Topps UK. US collectors still could get it but it was a bit of a workaround. This set will be way more accessible, and secondary probably won’t go as nuts.

The only surprise to me is that they announce it 4 days before pre-orders. Is this just how Topps does it?

The UK nonsense was a pain. And the worst thing about buying from them, is ebay is trying to build that network over there that isn't really established yet. So you end up with a lot of garbage sellers who cancel or don't know how to ship. I bought a box last year that was sent in a bubble mailer. As you can imagine it ended up being a bit mangled by the time it got here. It no longer had the shape that Topps originally intended. And ebay does not hold anyone over the accountable for anything. Glad this one is a US release finally and I agree, it should be readily available and not have crazy secondary prices. My family has talked about a Disney cruise on the newest ship that has the Marvel theme going for it. It would be fun to take some of this and let my son open it while cruising the seas.

Yippee…I guess. At least with this new Marvel paradigm I’m saving a boatload, and my wallet is thanking me.

And how limited, and will they all be Daredevil-related again?

(His cards were VERY lackluster, but I know it's going on name recognition at some point...)

“Look for relic cards of Marvel Zombies 20th Anniversary and X-Men Giant-Size 50th Anniversary”

Are these comic cuts? Or some type of manufactured relic?

This is the company putting out fake autos of characters. I'd guess they are manufactured relics.

Only 12 packs per box? Hope the price reflects that.

Little dissapointed there is only 1 autograph per case. Guess it all depends on price point.

Looking forward to seeing a box break. I was thinking about getting some of the base or an interesting insert to chase. Not looking all that promising so far. Captain America looks pretty good.

they aren't even real autographs, so does it really matter?

marketing fake autos as a product hit really is the bottom of the barrel

Re-read the sell sheets... says artists and writers autos 1 per case.

Default 2025 Topps Chrome Marvel

Also interesting how Topps is using that very impel 1990 Marvel Universe-esque design for that Wolverine. Makes you wonder what other 90s designs are fair game to be mimicked by topps even though Upper Deck owns the fleer brand (and many thought only they could use the retro designs). Unless this is just considered different enough.

Marvel did a few covers in the old impel style a couple of years ago. So I’m not sure that Upper Deck has exclusivity on that particular design.

Well the real Captain America is too busy to sign.

I don't know why people crap on these so much. Yes, they're fake. Of course they're fake. How is it any different than other hits that aren't autographs? It's a card that is a tough pull no matter what's on it.

Agreed. Would rather have a fake auto like this than a manufactured film cell or whatever else garbo Upper Deck would throw in as hits. Cool, a manufactured letter "U" with a photo of The Punisher on it.

I actually had fun spelling out R-O-C-K-E-T back in the day. I actually just subbed that set to COMC. It was a quirky idea and at least they didn’t not did it once and didn’t drive it into the ground like some other inserts (like stax).

That's fine, it's not the worst collectible, just that if I were opening a box, I'd rather get a fake auto than a random letter or a comic corner or whatever else Upper Deck would do. I remember getting the letter E and a shadowbox card in a box of Marvel Premier.
