Default Best Investment Prospects?

Wanting some others opinions. I really like Endy Rodriguez and as a Braves fan love Strider and Elder(who doesn't get enough love). Looking for more low prices, 200 and below, and kids who maybe don't have a lot of hype, but lot's of potential. As the minor season ends, who do you think are some good buys over the off season

You're only gonna get goofy responses of highly touted prospects who were complete busts.

A) You aren't going to get real answers.
B) If the general public know their names, you are probably late to the game.
C) If they are already succeeding in MLB you are definitely late to the game. (Strider)
D) Look at stats and compare to prices. The good buys will stand out if you put the research in.

Investing in prospects probably has worse odds than any casino game.

I can only tell you my opinions on prospects.Yes many fail but sometimes you get lucky if you...
• do your research
• be wary of the hype as product hits the market (see Austin Martin)
• look for young players, less than 23/24 but better when much younger like 21
• I avoid pitchers, too many things can go wrong
• Cheaper guys are worth a gamble if the research and scouting reports look good to you. I bought a lot of Casey Schmidt gambling that he'd be a productive thirdbaseman for the Giants and he seems to be blossoming and now in AAA. I also bought a bunch of Malvin Valdez (Reds) and haven't heard much about him this year. Still hoping
• Most here will hold their opinions on "sleeper" prospects thinking they can buy all the bargains on eBay without competition. Usually the top guys are obvious, JRod, LouBob, Soto, etc. and priced high before their cards even hit the market.
• Still it's fun, all the research in the world didn't see Tatis' PED bombshell.
That's my ramblings right now,
Vinny

I think Endy Rodriguez is a good bet, I recently bought a refractor auto of his based on some of the rave reviews he's been getting. His prices aren't bad right now, can get a color auto for under 200. To be honest I pay a lot of attention to what the prospect pros are saying, for example BA was all over Chourio well before he blew up in the hobby and I got in early based on that.

I disagree. I am of the opinion that if you stay away from the initial hot prospects, the majority of the rest will see an increase of some sort over the 2-3 years that follow the release. People usually make 2 very big mistakes. They buy the hot guys out of the gate that are overpriced that have never done anything, or they get greedy. Their guy gets hot or called up and they hold instead of sell. Take those variables aways and it isn't too difficult.

PS. Also, don't invest in your teams prospects. Most people are not capable of making non-emotional decisions and always overvalue their own guys.

though seems like his base auto doubled in the past month or so, still some room most likely to for few bucks *assuming he progresses* but it's sort of too late already. i still think Emmanuel Rodriguez has some decent room, with his injury knocking out half his season. But he's by no means cheap.

it's a tough go though. i got in too late on Tovar and just hoping for a fast start next season to unload them for very small profit.

others you might want to dig into maybe still some room Jeferson Quero and Adael Amador, Jackson Merrill. many will say its too late on all three, and that's fair to say, depends how adept you are with hype cycle timing.

Also got in relatively early on James Wood based on some Baseball America comments, but he's starting to get steep as well.

Chourio
Wood
Arroyo
Hassell
Veen
Henry Davis

still some value in Warming Bernabel (if you like him to keep progressing)

Queros 1st Bowman Chrome Autos can be had in PSA 9 for $15-20 and the last 10 went for roughly $50. Doesn't feel too late on him.
