A new one-pack format for this one ... and some new looks, too.

That Where’s Waldo McGwire auto is brutal. Who thought that was a good idea.

It’s a solid design ruined by the large RETROSPECTIVE running across the top.

Like many other high-end Topps products, it's old and tired and needs to be replaced.

It was cool when it first came out in 2012/13/14/15.....now it's just boring.

so they changed the box format and lowered the number of hits (like A&G) and no one has mentioned that

I don't usually go for the hating on every set that seems to happen around here, but on Museum Collection I completely agree. Every year looks the same, the cards aren't interesting, the set has a bazillion sticker autos. Even the logomen patches just look like funky Leaf cards and not from a premium product.

The reason Topps keeps producing it is because A) it continues to sell well through group breakers, and B) they need higher-end products to sell and Museum Collection is an established brand

If it didn't sell well, Topps would stop producing it. They've had no problem discontinuing lower-end stuff.

Higher end that grades very poorly. And honestly, I wasn’t that impressed last year. Sticker autos for hall of famers, lots of soft corners, edge issues, etc.

Museum cards have always had condition issues due to the thicker card stock.

The designs look the same since 2021, though, which shows Topps hasn't cared to put much effort into it.

There’s a way to make thicker stock more durable though. They just need to stop being lazy and figure it out. Brooklyn collection is usually pretty good from a QC standpoint, yet it’s thicker stock. I think the “thicker stock” argument is kinda just a lazy excuse by Topps not to be innovative and make improvements.

how well a product grades is probably the last thing they're concerned about. Thick cards generally grade poorly, even Panini has had significant issues with that.

I'll yell it from the rooftops until I can't yell it anymore

NOT EVERYTHING NEEDS TO BE GRADED

It’s not even that I wouldn’t grade it. It’s that the corners and edges were so bad, you can see the soft spots from 10’ away. I’m not a fan of that on a $400 box with sticker autos. If going to use sticker autos, at least figure out how to ensure cards stay clean. I’m tired of the lazy “panini had soft corners” argument too. It’s apparent panini is just as bad as Topps. With panini employees all moving to Topps; they’re not improving quality, they’re just taking the same tired ideas and bad quality.
