Default 2025 NLCS Thread

The reigning world champs vs the best team in baseball.

Who will win.

Me being a Brewers fans of course I will saying go Brewers. Got to carry on the Uecker magic.

Brewers have one functioning starting pitcher right now....Fredy Peralta.

Dodgers (unfortunately) will wipe the floor with them.....

It should be a bloodbath, if the Brewers can hang good for them.

Should be a good series. I likely won't watch a game.

Priester and Quintana both lit the dodgers up this year. I don’t think you’re giving enough credit, but that’s fine..

That would require Murphy actually trusting and riding those arms. Something he showed no intention of in the NLDS.

A Milwaukee and Seattle World Series would be fun. Two teams trying to win it's first title and Milwaukee originally being a Seattle team. Neither team has huge payroll. Would be a good series

How many times did the Dodgers beat the Brewers in the regular season? I forget.

I'm a Mets fan, so obviously no stake in who wins, but would like to see the Brew Crew pull it off and get to the WS.

Well....Priester got shelled by the Cubs in his last start, and Quintana was used out of the bullpen against the Cubs, not as a starter.

Dodgers were also 3-9 against the Phillies over the last two seasons.

Yah. Murphy really tried to minimize the looks his staff got against the Cubs. Point being playoff series are totally different than some random weekday series in June. Priester is also in uncharted territory innings wise.

This would be very cool!

May not be the most attractive markets for the sport. Is this the lowest it could get with LA-TOR being the inverse, market wise?

Hopefully, the Dodgers can get the first two in Milwaukee and just cruise into World Series, but it's actually good for Milwaukee that Los Angeles is their opponent, given the Brewers excrutiatingly long drought, 56 years of nothing.

Cubs in 2016, Astros in 2017, Nationals in 2019, and Atlanta in 2021 all went through the Dodgers in the postseason to get long-awaited titles, and Arizona, who beat LA in 2023 almost did the same, only losing in the Series, which would've been their first title in 22 years.

And the same scenario could be true for either Seattle or Toronto should one go on to meet and beat the Dodgers in the World Series. Mariners have suffered nearly 50 years of futility, but even the pair of Blue Jay titles came 30+ years ago. Could it be the stars have aligned for another long-suffering franchise to reach the promised land?

And I think (don't quote me) but the Cubs won the season series against the Brewers. Plus when the Brewers and Dodgers played, it was when Milwaukee was playing at a historic level. I know Brewer fans are desperate for that ever elusive World Series title, but they need to stop bringing up meaningless stats.
