What’s your most brutal expired redemption?

I’ll start it off. Back in 2010 or so I opened a box of 2006-07 sp game used and pulled an expired redemption for the Michael Jordan & LeBron James dual patch auto #/5. Upper Deck wouldn’t do anything for me. I think I sold the expired redemption a few years later but wish I would have held on to it tbh. Within a few weeks I pulled another expired redemption from the same card store. A LeBron auto from what I believe was ud sweet shot. It was one of those acetate backboard cards. Anyway, that’s my brutal history with expired redemptions.

Ouch. Not nearly as bad as that, but i pulled a Saquon Barkley tiedye XRC 2 weeks after expired. Redeemed anyway, since i heard panini usually honors expired redemption if card still available --- 3 years later, I received 150 panini points

I too have fallen victim to a Jordan/lebron dual auto, out of 2004-05 sp signature.

To add insult to injury, a local dealer who had a connection told me he would contact upper deck to see what they could do. A few months later, I saw the unredeemed card on eBay sold under his employee’s account for $250!!!

Back when breaking older product was actually a reasonable gamble, so like 2012-2014 range, I found a sealed hobby box of 2004 Ultimate Collection NFL. Ended up pulling a Tom Brady dual with, I think, Chad Pennington. Brady never returned his duals, so it was a very slight consolation after the fact. I do think I got something from UD by mailing it to them for a drawing, but it ended up being something that was about $25.

Long time ago around 2004 I think, pulled a SP Authentic Kobe. Can’t even remember if it was for an auto or jersey, Upper Deck wouldn’t do anything.

Upper Deck was notorious about expired redemptions. I pulled an expired Jeter from some baseball products and they won't do anything about it.

A friend of mine had a Kobe expired redemption already accepted by Panini in the system. After Kobe's passing and when Panini was cleaning out the Kobe backlogs, he got 2500 points for it since it was expired.
