Definitely some nice hits in there, but 700 cases X 12 boxes per case X 5 autographs per box comes out to 42,000 autographs. Most boxes will be really bad at 270 a box. Probably similar to everything since season 8, which were mostly disappointing. Will probably push my luck if Ian breaks a case though, I'm sure we can fill at least one.

They’ve run out of ideas for the main series. Far less appealing than I thought it would be.

The GTS breakdown says there will be "over (200) different autographed cards" in the set.

https://gogts.net/2023-game-of-thron...trading-cards/

12 boxes per case works out to 8,400 boxes which is way down from 15,000 boxes for The Complete Series Volume 2 and Iron Anniversary Series 2. Iron Anniversary Series 1 had 18,000 boxes. The Complete Series had 11,000 boxes. So did Season 8.

But 8,400 boxes is more than Star Trek: The Original Series Archives and Inscriptions (7,500 boxes) or Star Trek: The Next Generation Archives and Inscriptions (7,200 boxes). So I guess by Game of Thrones standards, this is a limited release.

It's fewer boxes because they doubled the price and put 5 autos instead of 3 per box. That doesn't make it limited.

The last GOT episode aired in 2019 and here we are today still watching Rittenhouse pumping out GOT cards! They are just going to keep on milking that GOT license for as long as they can - even if it no longer makes any sense to do so! And the end result is going to be the same as usual: you get the Clarke autograph, then ding-ding-ding! You get anything else, then it's probably going to have the same value as toilet paper.

Looking forward to getting a Hinds full bleed auto. Interested to see who else is on the FB checklist.

Also, why a dual with Emilia and Huisman? Huisman would seem to devalue the card.

The auto checklist has been updated on Rittenhouse. 2 new signers not already announced.

Annette Hannah as Frances (a Varys Spy)
Bronson Webb as Will (Nights Watch member from opening scene)

So based on the autograph checklist descriptions, I take it these are cards that update the previous released sets?

I wouldn't say that. They've been slowly adding more and more autograph card styles, it looks like this one has all of them plus 3 new formats. The base and inserts all look completely new to me too, no more Iron Anniv. expansion, Inflexion base expansion, etc. But man are there a lot of very tough to put together insert sets...

The set is a beauty, so much that I decided to put my own Non-Auto "Master Set" together. It'll be a long process with those inserts being /75 but I'm sure I'll get it done in a few years. Haha. I'll probably skip the Metal /25 set with it being a continuation set. No Dragonglass either with it being so low numbered but will probably grab my favorite one to put in the binder.

I can’t believe they’re releasing a second series of this right before the HOD set.

Haha, I completely believe it. I do really like the base set from the first one so expanding on that with more characters will be nice, might be all I go for from the 2nd set though.

Loved the look of the base set, though they are likely digital editing from original show stills. I just finished the Red/50 Parallel set, just gotta get Blowout to get the last card mailed to me after the holiday. Gotta pick up the binder now and slowly pick up the inserts along the way.
