I was surprised they brought up Kopech and lost that extra year of control... will they do it again with Eloy?

The season is over.

I doubt the Blue Jays promote Jr. ... why promote Eloy?

I think with Kopech, he was getting visibly upset with being held down for so long. Hahn didn't want to risk souring the relationship with his potential future ace again just for an extra year of control.

Although Eloy is confident he's ready, he also seems more level headed about complying with whenever the White Sox decide to bring him up.

We’ll see how level headed he is after not getting called up at all this year, not starting with the club next year, and then potentially not getting called up until after the Super 2 deadline next year.

Only the 8th round? I have a feeling he goes more towards the 5th or 6th. I think he’ll contribute right away, too.

I remember Benentendi (sic. too tired to look it up this early) had a lot of hype a couple of seasons ago and his ADP was about #100. I think the hype is more for this cat. #5 or #6 seems about right.

I don't know about redraft leagues next year, but if he doesn't get at least one at bat this year I lose him as my 21st round pick next year.

Sorry but I do not believe it will happen.

Not sure if this is true or not but I heard the WS recalled Kopech because he pushed for it and management didn't want to have a bad relationship with him.

Jimenez has been more laid back about it.

They should delay his call up till next year. It’s just smart business to get another year of control out of someone that looks like they will be really good.
