Default Gameday Thread: New-Look Cavs Vs. Celtics

It’s funny how game 1 of the new look Cavs earlier this season was also vs Kyrie and the Celtics. And here we go again the first game of the revitalised Cavs is again vs kyrie and the Celtics. Should be an interesting afternoon. What are people’s predictions?

I don't see how the Cavs win today simply because of the lack of chemistry there's bound to be with a team that has four regular rotation coming in for their first game. Plus the C's are at home.

Cavs lose by a dozen

It’s going to take a few games.

Interesting starting line up for the Cavs:

Hill
JR Smtih
Osman
LeBron
Thompson

Looks like Clarkson and Nance will come off the bench together, along with Hood.

I would feel better if love was 100% and playing but not expecting a win. Just hope for a competitive game.

Definitely going to take some time to build team chemistry..... Not expecting a win but hopefully it's a decent close game. Boston is tough

Pretty stoked for this one. I think Kyrie is going to put on a show.

I don't really care who wins. But selfishly i want them to beat the cr@p out of each other.

Yep. Feels like a playoff game. Hoping this is our preview of the ECF.

Not if the Raptors hold the first seed.

Cavs can win on talent alone but I'm hoping to see the Cs win.

JR has come alive these days.

Agree. Celtics don't have enough offensive firepower to stay with the Cavs.

I hope it's a close game and the refs are fair.

Watched my first Raptors game of the season this morning. Man do they look good. Obviously it was an anomaly as they absolutely dominated Charlotte and that won't happen every game, but they're a great team that plays a great brand of basketball, including great defense. I could definitely see them coming out of the east this year. We'll see how good the new-look Cavs end up being come May.

Hasn't been a anomaly. Especially the last 5 games:

Raptors average margin of victory during their 5-game win streak: +21.0 points. Number of 4th quarter minutes Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan, Serge Ibaka and Jonas Valanciunas have totalled in those games: ZERO.

I like the Raptors and wouldn't mind seeing them in the ECF or even the Finals. They're a great team. I just would rather see the Celtics or Cavs there.

The Cavs have shooting all over the place. Clarkson, Hill and Hood are going to love playing with Lebron. Sure we will see some Nance lobs thrown in sooner or later too.
