Why does every sports team or UFC fighter I like suck!

Every stupid sports team I like sucks. Every UFC fighter I like loses immediately after I start liking them.

NFL-Oakland Raiders,Cowboys-Suck
MLB-Athletics,Rockies,White Sox,Pirates-Suck
NBA-Utah Jazz-Suck

Just watched UFC tonight.

Wanted Holly Holm to beat Cyborg. She lost
Wanted Cynthia to win. She lost

No. I am not a person to jump ship. I will keep my crappy teams.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Being a true sports fan, really putting your heart into it, means you’ll experience more pain than joy. But it will make those high moments so much sweeter.

Mostly great memories.

Cowboys because of my mother. Gave me a Cowboys hat at age 5 which I still have. Enjoyed watching Smith & Troy play

Raiders because of my father. Gave me a old school Los Angeles raiders sweater when I was 8. Love the aggression they had in the 80s 90s.

Utah Jazz because I loved watching John Stockton & Karl Malone

And all those baseball teams have to do with my childhood in someway. Either I played on them in little league or just enjoyed watching them play in the early 90s.

Good for you for sticking with your teams and fighters. Too many jump ship and are bandwagon fans. Even some on here where I thought they would be true sports fans.

I'm not sure anyone else is topping me over the last 13 years in terms of heartbreak of their favorite teams.

In that time I've watched the Panthers lose two SB's (one in a blowout, one from a kickoff out of bounds in a tie game with less than a minute left) as well as another NFCCS loss, plus we've still never had back to back winning seasons.

The Tigers lost multiples of both the World Series and the ALCS

And then my favorite team, Arizona basketball, has lost 4 heartbreaking Elite 8 games, all at the buzzer, some in OT, and then a bunch of S16 losses as well. All I want in my sports rooting life is an Arizona Final Four, even more than I want a Panthers SB, and they keep getting so damn close, but always lose it at the end.

That is true, but man the last time any of my teams did really good was Raiders in the 2000 superbowl. And they lost. So 17 year drought.

Bills fan here that will gladly admit i jumped on during the SB run..was at that trainwreck of Flutie benched/Music City miracle..and we just now made the playoffs again lol

im not a baseball diehard or anything..but became a fan of the Reds when playing little league...because always usually ended up with them as team colors/name lol still want them to do good..but..hows that going lol

as far as college..well..living in TN so always been a UT fan..so yeah not much going on there either...i think they have a solid bball team this year though

not much for hockey..

mom's side of family was always big into Nascar and a Dale sr fan..so i picked up that..and naturally followed to his son Dale Jr..he had a few good runs but nothing ever came of it and he retired last year..so..lol
