Default Fleer Ultra Platinum Medallion

I was looking at purchasing some of these and noticed that some are numbered /50 and some are not numbered. Are the non-numbered ones backdoored or was there some kind of mistake made when these were printed. I was on a hiatus from about 1995 - 2005 and am trying to get back into that era, but admittedly am lacking knowledge from those years.

Edit: I was specifically looking at 2005 Fleer Ultra Platinum Medallion Tom Glavine. There is a PSA 9 that is numbered and I see some raw that are not numbered.

They vary by year:

1998 Ultra Series 1 is /100
1998 Ultra Series 2 is /98
1999 Ultra is /99
2000 Ultra is /50
2001 Ultra is /50
2002 Ultra only had platinum medallion inserts
2003 Ultra was lame
2004 Ultra Series 1 is /66
2004 Ultra Update is /100
2005 Ultra is /50

2004 & 2005 Ultra both had backdoored Platinum cards with no serial #s.

Yeah, the un-numbered ones started hitting the market after Fleer went bankrupt. One of the shops near me has a ton of those kinda cards in their dollar boxes.

Here is my 05 Albert Platinum - I would trust absolutely nothing from Fleer that isn’t stamped serial numbered. Even then, some inspection should be done to make sure it’s consistent
