Biggest "steals" of 2016

With 2016 coming to a close, what's the biggest steal/best deal you got on a card this year? I had a few pretty good finds on older stuff from the 90s, but my biggest steal would probably be this one...

Paid $4.69 dlvd on ebay due to a bad listing. Ended up selling it for $30 IIRC.

I've had a really good year for "steals" including some cards for literally a penny delivered. I don't even have my biggest one in hand yet. But aside from the one not in hand. These are probably my favourite two. Got the pair for $40 and change.

Bought a lot of 3 Myles Turner Prizm RC autos for $33 delivered. A few days after they were delivered, he had a monstrous game. I listed that same night on eBay and got $27 each (one person bought two so saved on shipping there). Not your typical steal scenario since it was just a good deal before the monstrous game, but one that I remember and was recent

I bought the 86 Star Jordan set of 10 cards in Knoxville, Tn in a shop for $450. Sent them off for grading and received 2 9.5s, 3 9's, and the other 5 graded at least a 7. Sold them on Ebay for $2000. The buyer never paid, so I'm sending 2 9s back for a regrade before I put them up for sale again.

I picked up a 10-card lot of 90s MJ inserts on here for $85 but I only needed one (the 95-96 Topps Power Boosters base card, great looking parallel set). I sold the other 9 for $130, so basically I was paid $45 to take an MJ power boosters card haha.

Best one has to be this one due to a lousy ebay listing. 99 cents +shipping for the rarest of the 3 Mitch Richmond buyback autos from 97-98 SP Authentic (it's /39, the others are /83 and /95). One had sold for over $60 the previous month. I hadn't seen any copies surface for two years and haven't seen one since! It's the one on the left in the scan- the one on the right I had to pay reasonable market value for sadly lol

I picked this up in June for $350. It's a Pop 2 and the only Chrome Refractor with 9.5 centering. Felt like this was criminally undervalued, and I sold it to another member last month for an undisclosed amount. I've since been messaged and offered WELL over what I sold it for, but I'm happy it went to Oklahoma and a Thunder fan as well as someone who was extremely friendly and easy to deal with.

That's what I'm talking about! $0.99 plus shipping for that is highway robbery.

Yeah, that's absolutely ridiculous. That vintage stuff looks awesome in one-touch magnetics as well. Modernizes the cards just slightly for display purposes.

I sold my 15-16 mostly complete silver prizm RC set plus a couple golds for about triple what I had into them back before the season started.

I picked up Jamal Murray silver, mojo, and orange /49 prizms for around $80 total for all three before his 4 game 20+ pt streak.

I also grabbed this 1/1 Mudiay RC for $110 shipped recently. He hasn't been all that great this season so it's possible this won't really be a steal if he can't step his game up, but it's still pretty nice and it's a 1/1..

^^^ love that Mudiay. I'm a big fan of the Emergent set. The Silver Prizms are insanely tough pulls and sell pretty well. The 1/1 at that price seems like a solid buy if not a steal. I got a copy of the Silver Mudiay for like $6 a few months ago, which is a really nice price.

Thanks man. Yeah I really like that set as well. I picked up a gold earlier this the year but i've been looking for a silver for awhile now. They seem to be hard to find.

I've only seen a handful of them sell on ebay. I remember someone on here doing the math and coming to an estimate of around 50 copies of each player for the Emergent Silver Prizms.

I picked up these 2 around the same time before the season started, hoping that he'd come out hot to start the season.

Picked up a Devin Booker NT Rookie RPA in the summer for just over $700 and sold it for $1650 right before the season started. That was probably one of my better purchases ever.
