Default Any news on 2016 Prizm Baseball?

By this time last year there were already 2015 previews out, and I believe it was released the end of May. Prizm is my favorite set each year (I know, you hate it, no license, bla bla, don't care), I'll be pretty bummed if it was discontinued...

Has anyone heard anything on it? Can't find anything confirming release or it being discontinued?!

Nothing announcing that it's done or coming. However, Donruss Optic sure seems to give it competition if both will exist this year.

Seems fairly similar... Darn I hope it doesn't replace it

I love Prizm baseball. It is the one product that I wish the MLB would grant a temporary license for to make it better. The rest of Panini is garbage.

Overpriced with MAPP @ release. No logos or team names. Virtually devoid of any resale value. The future of sports cards in 'Murica. What's not to like?

I pretty much always make 80%+ of my money back on Prizm. There is quite a market for the colored refractors, especially on some of the older guys like Frank Thomas, Ken Griffey, Pete Rose, etc. For a $60 hobby box with 2 autos, it's not that bad.

Sooo after seeing that Optic basically has the same refractors that Prizm did(Gold /10 are my fav) is it safe to say Optic replaced Prizm this year? =(

Yeah, it's probably a safe assumption at this point.

I really liked Optic except for the no logos. I just wish my Yankees half case break didn't have so many of the same card and I still can't figure out the difference between the regular card and the Holo one.

I asked my dist. again about this yesterday, and they still have no info from Panini. Afraid it's a goner.

And to the guy who said there's no value in this set, Prizm was my most profitable break without a major hit in 2015. My Achive Sigs break was the only one to beat it, but it had the benefit of a $1300 Galarraga.

Sadly, I think it is a goner. Bummer, I really liked Prizm. Donruss Optic is pretty good luckily.

Rumors are swirling that this is the last year for Prizm FB too. I understand them wanting to go with Donruss & Donruss Optic as their flagship lines. But to just drop the Prizm line seems really odd since it was so successful.

Personally, I wish they would've announced the transition earlier this year as I would've gone heavier on my order of Optic had I known.

I'll have to strongly disagree here.

If Prizm were successful, it would still be around.
2015 hobby boxes are selling for $38 on BO right now. 2014 is barely above $40.

These were stinkers and the price reflects that.
