I see Roderick Arias finally signed on, likely to be similar to a Wander style prospect (which is where Wander was originally slated for but Tampa has more money). I doubt he'll make it in 2022 Bowman set... Any ideas where he will pop up?

Wander was $500? In 2019, and Jasson was $1000? in peak 2020. I would imagine he's in 2022 Bowman Chrome. I felt that Jasson was a fine international prospect, but the ranking was built into being a Yankee--Arias is probably a more well-rounded prospect. Seeing as prices have jumped from 2020 to 2021 Bowman Draft immensely, I suspect an Arias BC Auto is $1500+ out of the gate, and wouldn't be surprised if it closes in on $2000.

Interesting, hadn't heard of him. As a fan, I'll hold off on getting excited until we see if he can hit high level pitching. Also, does this mean Volpe's time is up lol?

Volpe better get going--- But this kid is going to be a star. I dont say that lightly but everything I have seen and read about is looking good. I think the Jasson hype was just over the top but im thinking Wander/Witt Jr. type hype. I agree with the crazy high price on his auto. With the push from base cards to number and autos because of how print runs are going those special cards will be worth that much more... Good things to come in 2022

He shouldn't be Jasson hype. He's not spoken of THAT highly. He's more in line with the top of 2021 J15 crop, and below the top of the 2023 (Felnin Celesten, etc) class.
But being a Yankee, he'll be the #1, price-wise, for 2022 BC (if he's there) no doubt. Even over Christian Vaquero, who has more power projection. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk |
