Default I guess it would make sense...Lakers take D'Angelo to package in a deal for Cousins..

Here is the article:DeMarcus Cousins Trade Rumors: Latest Buzz, Speculation on Kings Star's Future | Bleacher Report

I never understood the idea of taking D'Angelo over Okafor but it makes sense if The Lakers plan on using him in the trade that would get us a Top 3 Center who is still young and had a very team friendly contract.

Pairing him with a guy like Aldridge or Love would give us a HUGE inside game but we would struggle on The Defensive Side greatly. We shall see I guess.

Wouldnt mind keeping D'Russ and seeing if he is everything they claim him to be....

What do you guys think?

Nope, just keep Russell ( point guard league) and sign LA. Lakers would be right on track. Lets Cousins rot.

Cousins is a problem, doesn't have the heart or mental toughness.
Bit like Howard wasn't up to LA for similar reasons.
Like Kobe is a Batman looking for a Robin who can be molded into a Batman, Cousins is a Penguin. It just won't work for LA.

Keep Russell I say. I love Boogie, but to lose Russell, Randle and Clarkson would hurt us long term.

Advisory: These scenarios are all in my eyes, please voice your opinion...just dont be an ass!

BEST Case Scenario in my eyes Line Up wise that will allow the young core to grow and still make a playoff run:

PG - D. Russell
SG - K. Bryant
SF - D. Carroll (Free Agent/Hawks) - SLIGHTLY OVERPAID LONG TERM DEAL WITH A TEAM OPTION AT THE END, TEAM PLAYER/GREAT D
PF - J. Randle
C - D. Jordan (Free Agent/Clips) - MAX DEAL AND DEATH BLOW TO THEIR STADIUM MATES, DEFENSIVE ANCHOR THAT RUSS CAN CARRY

6th - N. Young

-----

WORST Case Scenario in my eyes Line Up wise that will get us no where near the playoffs and assure that we lose out Draft Pick to Philly.

PG - D. Russell
SG - K. Bryant
SF - N. Young
PF - J. Randle
C - B. Lopez (Free Agent/Nets) - OVERPAID - MAX CONTRACT BECAUSE NO ONE WANTS TO PLAY IN LA ANY MORE AND WE HAD TO MAKE A MOVE!

6th - W. Matthews (Free Agent/Blazers) - 1 YEAR PROVE IT DEAL AT THE MID LEVEL EXCEPTION DUE TO INJURY

-----

How I IMAGINE the Line Up would look like if we traded for Boogie. I do think this team would make a great run but in the end will come up short....

PG - R. Rondo (Free Agent/Mavs) - SHORT TERM DEAL THAT WILL BE THE REASON THAT THE TEAM FAILS TO GET OUT OF THE 1ST ROUND DUE TO THE FACT THAT HE CANT SHOOT AND HAS LOST TO MANY STEPS TO DEFEND AND GET TO THE RIM *LOCKER ROOM POISON*
SG - K. Bryant
SF - L. Deng (Free Agent/Heat) - OVERPAID BUT WITH OPTIONS, SELFLESS PLAYER THAT CAN GIVE A LOT AND GREAT LOCKER ROOM GUY
PF - Ed Davis (Re-signs) - OVERPAID TO RE-SIGN AFTER LOOSING OUT ON THE STAR PLAYERS @ THE 4 SPOT
C - D. Cousins (Trade/Kings) - ****

6th - D. Green (Free Agent/Spurs) - OVERPAID TO STEAL HIM FROM THE CAP STRAPPED SPURS, SHARPSHOOTER & GOOD LOCKER ROOM GUY

***Lakers trade D. Russel, J. Randle, J. Clarkson, N. Young + 2017 1st Round Pick & Decline Team Option on J. Hill.

MORAL OF THE STORY....

LA LAKERS WILL HAVE TO OVERPAY TO BEAT OUT TEAMS LIKE THE BLAZERS, SPURS, PISTONS, RAPTORS, CAVS, SUNS, GRIZZLIES, AND PELICANS OR GIVE UP THE FARM FOR A TALENTED YET CRAZY STAR CENTER!!!

Lakers already dealt with one nutcase at center before (Bynum), so I'd hope they'd have the sense to avoid the same thing in the future.

Lakers don't have as much draw power as others going for Aldridge so I don't think they have a chance with that one.

True, although he has a house down the street from Kobe and has been seen working out with him... But San Antonio would seem a better fit. And I say that as a Laker fan

Duh-Marcus Cousins isn't a player that I'd want to go to war with. He's a guy who is always gonna have some kind of drama. If the Lakers do this they are dumb as a box of rocks.

I'd also like to mention that they already assed themselves out of a shot at Marc Gasol because of how they treated Pau in his last few years there.

San Antonio I believe seem to be the frontrunners for him.

I don't think you guys should just give up on Randle to become instant contenders by the way, that kid will be good.

This deal didn't get done because the Lakers weren't biting at Divac's demands. The whole Randive angle is a red herring. The deal is at most Clarkson and Randle. Regardless of the rumor mill I'm not buying Russell being on the table.
