Default Should I upgrade from a PS3 to a PS4?

I have a PS3 right now that I play often. I play Cod, NBA 2K, Mlb the Show, and Madden. I have heard good things about the ps4, but It is a little pricey. I would just like suggestions from fellow blowout members to see if I should upgrade to a ps4.

Thanks.

I'm waiting until Christmas to decide. Right now I'm more than happy with my 360 so don't see the need to upgrade but if a price war breaks out for the holiday, I might change my mind.

I upgraded from the 360 to the Xbox one and love it. I don't care for PS3 or PS4, so can't speak specifically on the system itself. But I'd say definitely upgrade to a next gen.

If I do upgrade I want it to be sooner then later. I just want to make sure it is worth it to upgrade.

Is there anything specific that you can point out that you look better since you went to next gen?

I've played a little with both systems and I don't see a huge difference to justify spending another $400. As someone that grew up with Atari I am still blown away by 360/PS3 games so I may not be the best person to advise you. I just didn't see a need to come out with a new system yet. Having said that, I will probably go with a One when I do upgrade though. I wasn't too keen on the PS3 that I had even though I miss not being able to play The Show.

Ok, thanks for your input. I don't think I am interested in the Xbox One since it's more expensive.

Is there a reason you didn't like it?

I don't think that will bother me to much. Although, free internet makes online gaming that much better

Dont get me wrong it is a great system if you have buddies on it if not you are going to be bored out of your mind.

Well I just think the games play much better and the graphics are incredible. I also like the screenshot feature for some reason. Controller is a plus from PS3. I like having it hooked to my Facebook. Play the game sound through the headset that comes with the system. Can set up an Internet connection in the middle of a game. If you have any specific questions, PM me.

Is it because there isn't a huge selection of games?

The one without the Kinect is the same price as the Ps4, $399

The dashboard is way better, graphics are better and games are a lot more fluid. For xbox one they really did good a good job snapping party chats, tv, dashboard to game, etc.. Console runs a lot faster and quieter as well. Also did great on improving an already amazing controller.

I had both the ps4 & ps3 and didn't play the ps4 nearly as much as i do the ps3 so i sold the 4. The big down side to ps4 is you have to pay to play online unlike the ps3
