How do you guys take pics of your cards?

Well the scanner bit it and I am too cheap to buy another one. My question is how do you guys take pictures of cards with your phone? I have a droid, and I can never get the pics to look nice.

What are ideal settings? Background/lighting? Editing? All those good tricks of the trade.

Build a white shelving unit next to your card area.

Use Ebay Mobile app. Take Pictures & list, repeat.

I heard the ebay mobile app is easier than using a scanner.

Wal Mart often has the Canon Print/Scanner combo on sale for $29.99 so this may be your best way to go.

Take the pic with your phone first then you can upload to both your bucket and eBay

I haven't used my scanner in awhile now

Yeah thats what I want to do, just cant seem to get lighting right or something. If Im going to just use my camera, want to make them look good

Have light coming from the Window but not bright sunlight. Gotta work the angles.

Sometimes the quality is almost too good and too many flaws show up on the card.

I use this thing called scanbox....it's only 20 bucks but it's a portable scanner for your phone.

It's pretty good to store in a backpack/briefcase etc... Look it up on google its called a Scanbox!

I don't have a smart phone but use a scanner. Sometimes I will use a sony camera to take pictures.

I use my iphone. They take d@mn good quality pictures.

I try not to take them directly under a lamp or my fan because then there is a big glare.

The Camscanner app is great, you take a picture of the card, most of the time it locates the edges of the card and the picture from your phone looks exactly like a scan for the most part. The best part about it, it's free.

The pic below was taken with the camscanner app.
