Default PSA Membership - How to Cancel Recurring Charge?

My membership expires in two days and I dont want to renew as the specials have been awful lately. FAQ says in your account, there should be a manage button next to where it shows your membership - but I dont see anything. Anyone experience this? Idek if PSA has a customer service # to call about this.

Huh, I don't see a place to adjust it on mine either (although while still active until February, I cancelled mine last month). Not sure if they have a phone number or not, you might have to go through the support link and submit a ticket. Worse comes to worst, you could call your bank and explain to them that you tried to cancel this payment from coming out, but PSA removed the cancel functionality, and you want to block the payment.

I have been trying to figure out how to do this also. There is no button to manage your membership.

If you don't have any orders in the system just delete your Credit Card information. If they can't charge a CC they won't renew your subscription. If you do have an order in the process, I'm not sure what your options are.
There used to be a "Manage" your account button but that seems to have disappeared.

I don't remember if I signed up for just one year or recurring.

For those who are 100% sure that they selected the recurring option.

Do you guys see the same thing on your end? Does it say Current Term Expiration Date or something else

I emailed customer service and asked them to cancel my recurring membership. I also let them know I was canceling because the value is not there anymore. Pricing is too high for the long turnaround times and the specials have not been good. I received a reply back right away. They apologized and asked if I wanted to end my membership at the end of the year. I confirmed and waiting for a reply back on that.

After talking to customer service.

That "Manage" button magically appeared on my end.

I was able to cancel my subscription.

Haha, I just went and looked into my account after receiving the email from PSA. The button is there on my account now also.

Same happened to me lol. So definitely contact customer support if its not there and then it'll somehow just magically appear. I swear they do it on purpose.

They do. They want to make it as challenging as possible for a person to end their membership. Looking forward to ending mine very shortly when my subscription runs out. I have a few choice words for them in parting after being loyal to them for a decade. I hope they lose a lot of memberships.

When companies make it challenging to cancel memberships just sent them an email telling them to cancel it and any further charges will be disputed as unauthorized/fraudulent

I had to do that with LA Fitness when they wouldn't cancel. I got a notification about 10 mins after sending the email saying my membership had been successfully canceled

What is the point of the membership right now with no specials? Who exactly is buying it? I decided a few months ago to just go through a group submitter ... One reason being too is my hunch is they are more consistent grading with group submitters, at least I tell myself that.

From a baseline point of view, it is a money saver for those that use Value Bulk at $20 a pop, where you break even at 30 cards submitted (or 25 for TCG at $19 each). Otherwise the cheapest grading is $25, but of course there is no min submission at that price.

I agree but with gamestop its $22 a card plus $10 for return shipping. A 20 card game stop order is $450 whereas a 20 card bulk psa order is $400 plus return shipping which would be around $450 plus your cost to ship to PSA.
Gamestop not having a bulk min is also attractive.
i am keeping my psa membership as i send in bulk dual submissions but i am going to start using gamestop for some orders. Seems like PSA is wanting people to go that direction.

I did the same exact thing. After a couple months of, almost zero specials (I don't count grade and sell, or POPs, etc.), I cancelled immediately.

I wish there was a way to find out what percentage cancelled; it'd likely be for the same reason.

A lot of my friends in the PSA community are sick of the greed and mismanagement. The lack of meaningful specials, the slower returns, inconsistent grading, increased prices, the perception of apathy from the company to its customers - it all points to greed and I知 done with it. Whether their numbers go up or down, I知 one less person who will be paying for their membership.

With all of the troubles and lack of customer service, inconsistent grading, slower and slower TAT, are any of you moving to other grading companies?

No, I知 leaving the third-party grading world altogether. It痴 been a fun decade-long run, but I知 getting back to my roots and working on making binder project sets and continuing my vintage rookie autograph collection.

Selling most of my graded collection unless the card is amazing registration and centering under $500. Over $500, I will slab or buy slabbed. I may have just bought a 1949 Bowman Satchell Paige. I am trying to get one nice example of each vintage set and one nice example of each HOF player. All 60's and 70's will go in binders.

I'm only one person but I'm in the same boat as you on this. Canceled last month for the upcoming January renewal. No reason to sink $150 into a membership that gives me nothing.

People who complain about PSA and still use them are part of the problem....people who complain about PSA and stop using them are part of the solution.Good for you for taking part in fixing the problem......if more thought like you PSA would be forced to fix their problems or end up like Beckett.

For the record i follow what i preach,i stopped using PSA 4 years ago.

PSA made me a bunch of money selling some stuff I wanted maximum return on, and I'll not sub to them anymore unless I get something else that a PSA 10 commands a lot of value. I know it's still Collector's, but I switched my recent subs to SGC, and am far happier with the overall results, primarily cost and return time.

I see no one is hyped about the magazine "Golden Ticket" contest this month...

Thanks, man. I got to the point last year where I had to look at myself in the mirror and recognize that if I was going to complain, I had to stop making excuses and boycott with my wallet. Hitting the cancellation button, along with starting to move on and sell many of my slabs, has felt very liberating.
