Default 2025 Spring Training Mega Hype & Pump Thread

Just like last year, pump or dump your potential players. 1st spring training game is today. Cubs vs Dodgers. Ohtani is not in the lineup. Yamamoto is pitching. Can't wait to see Sasaki to pitch.

See if your predictions came true here.

Bobby Miller drilled in the head with a comebacker. Walked off under his own power.

Hoping Bo Bichette finds his stroke again after an off year.

Ohtani will be the most compelling story in baseball.

Again.

And Mike Trout bounces back this year. Top 10 MVP vote.

Matt Allen, the Mets 2019 3rd rounder who hasn't thrown a pitch since that year, hit 94-97 recently at ST. Rooting hard for him.

This is funny....had the thought about Juan Solo. It looks like he's in the best shape of his life!

He looks great/fit/lean/ready.

Guys that will continue to be great:
Ohtani, Judge, Betts, Soto, Harper, Freeman
Guys I'm expecting big things from:
Gunnar Henderson, Riley Greene, Corbin Carroll, William Contreras
One of these guys will be a superstar but I'm not sure which:
Wyatt Langford, Jackson Merrill, Jackson Chourio
Players I'm worried about:
Basically all the Braves, Skenes, Bichette (might be hobby dead already)
Awesome player that I expect to amaze somehow even if there is no real path for him in the hobby:
Mason Miller
Guys on a hobby clock (they need big years now or risk fading):
Vladdy, Devers, Alonso, Tucker, Albies, Riley
Great players that need something to spark hobby interest or risk being Larry Walker:
Yordan, Lindor, J. Ram

I'll go with he misses a start or 2 mid to late July with general soreness after coming out of the AS Game early. Then mid-August they announce they are shutting him down as a precaution since Pittsburgh is already eliminated then mid playoffs comes the news he needs Tommy John and misses the entire 2026 season. And all the keyboard doctors will tell you they saw it coming a mile away and people who invested in him are idiots.

He absolutely did have a great year. I still think he's on the hobby clock. Collectors don't trust him/ haven't warmed back up to him and a down year will send them fleeing to the exit ramp IMO.

One of the few things I want to do is go to Cooperstown and Spring Training. I thought about it years back but never did it for random reasons. Kicking myself about it.
