Hidden gems thoughts

I have been looking and these and they are really cool looking cards but are they worth investing in? I watched the Ronald Acuna go from 100 - 400 when it fist hit and now it's still kinda wild as with some of the other cards. I'm just wondering what others thoughts are. It is a little bit of a difficult question but at the same time not.Just depends the purpose behind buying it. I did buy the Acuna and at current prices probably over paid but it is a pc card so it does not bother me as bad.

Putting money in cards that are not serial #'d can be precarious.
Topps could have stacks of these, with the potential to be backdoored.
Realistic? Maybe not, but it has happened before. Just food for thought.

I believe that blowout member actually posted about finishing the set .
What was it 100 cards ?
Could be probably am wrong lol

A 7th year insert (case hit?)

Maybe, they do well with the NFL with kambooms and stuff like that

But if investing in Acuna, 2017-18 high end is what you want, and its obvious

Go look at my post I have 99 of them in hand. Go look at pop reports from PSA the first 3 cards in the 2023 set have seen 4 cards graded I own 3 of the 4. Last time I looked there isn’t a single card that has over a 20 pop. This set was so under the radar, I just had a zoom meeting with Topps/fanatics and they will be doing an article about me having as many as I have. They couldn’t even believe I acquired as many as I did! The article will be out in the next month we’re just working on logistics of it

Topps never ever has released a checklist for this I’ve had to compile it based on what I’ve seen and own if you want it I have the checklist and what product it came out of

They look nice but they would need real Jewels/Gems inserted into them to come close to the money people are wanting for them. Think the diamond embedded cards they did in 2011.

Personally I think the Rising Infernos and Gladiators Of The Diamond look 100x better than the Hidden Gem cards and can both be completed for the cost of 1 hidden Gem card
