Default The PSA vault is absolutely horrible right now

So, a few months back PSA essentially bought out the ebay vault and transitioned all the cards contained in it to their PSA vault. I had previously never used the PSA vault but since I had around 50 cards in the ebay vault, I decided to give it a chance and even started to have a few graded cards I purchased on ebay sent directly there. At first it seemed fine, the scans are high quality, the interface is pretty straightforward and organized, and being able to access it through both the PSA website and app is cool.

However, for most people the single most important aspect of a vault is shipping/item processing speed, and my goodness, that has been nothing short of atrocious. I'm planning on setting up at a local show this weekend and wanted to bring a few card I had vaulted. I submitted shipment requests on June 27th (over 2 weeks before the show), and as of today (July 11th) none of the 4 cards I requested have even shipped yet. I also purchased 2 cards from ebay that according to tracking were authenticated and "Item handed off to PSA vault" on July 1st. They show in the vault but both still are tagged as "On the way to vault" which means the items have been in their possession for almost 2 weeks and they still haven't been processed yet. And of course, since they're in this sate of limbo I can't do anything to them (shipment request, list on ebay, etc.)

With current turnaround times, if you were in theory to purchase an item off ebay, have it sent to the vault, and then immediately have it shipped to you once it's been processed, you'd be looking at about a month total time from the day ebay authenticates it to when it actually arrives at your doorstep. I really want to start using this vault but it's just impossible when the processing and shipping times are so unbelievably slow, and it only seems to be getting worse as more and more people are starting to vault ebay/grading orders.

I'm not surprised one bit. That's why I sucked it up and paid CA sales tax (~10% [~$90]) to have a card sent to me instead of the PSA vault. I assumed the initial transition would be rough.

I've heard nothing but horror stories so far. They apparently automatically title eBay listings and miss a lot of crucial details about the cards resulting in lower sales. I have one card that I wanted to test the process with and am already regretting it.

Did you honestly expect anything different? It wasn’t well run before the change, and now they have how many more cards to deal with?

On 6/28 I paid for cards to be returned to me. Today I got my Fed Ex tracking number with 7/15 estimated delivery.

Not horrible.

Yup. I haven't sold but I've gotten some very good prices.

You'd think they would have increased capacity if they were taking on such an increase in business -- it's bizarre they didn't.

If you're PSA, you want to make a good first impression with eBay buyers and sellers so they adopt your services.

Not horrible.
I think most people would consider 15 days to get a tracking number pretty horrible.

That was an issue with eBay vault. Surely they have a plan to fix it....

Speculation was that part of the benefit of eBay partnering with PSA and Comc was that they'd have access to their databases of card information, making it easier to list cards and have the info be more accurate.

They’ll scale into it. No need to get it right upfront when you’re the biggest game in town. The eBay partnership provides massive leverage. You’re talking about how many millions of eligible items sold monthly? Fanatics through PWCC is doing ~40k items a month. The rest of the vault services are irrelevant, outside of COMC which isn’t in the same class of vaults.

While I agree it’s best practice for businesses to get new products and services right from the start, there’s no incentive here for PSA to have done that. They struggled when Goldin was the auction house source, and they’ll struggle with eBay as the source.

Not ideal if you're buying from a seller account. In terms of vaults its about two business days longer than PWCC. As such, its pretty average for a vault service.

I tried my first this week since I'll be out of.town when authentication and ship likely hits. Guess I'll update when I get back and try to withdraw it to ship to my Addy after. Fine if it takes 2+ weeks as a PC card.

They probably misjudged how much staffing they needed to handle the vault requests plus the new ebay sales volume. I just got tracking for an ebay order from the main PSA account that I paid for less than 48 hours ago

I have a card delivered to PSA vault on July 13 which was last Saturday, and so far I had sent multiple emails to PSA vault's customer service and asked if the card was safely delivered since the tracking showed it was signed by somebody and left to front desk or mailing room. Until now, I haven't had any response from PSA vault yet. Is this normal?

By the way, the card was sent from eBay Authenticity department so the card should has a sealing sticker on its back, does PSA vault need to remove the sticker in order to scan and vault the card?

Bought a card from PSA off of Ebay. I'm shipping it to my P.O. Box. Let's see how this pans out.

You won’t have a problem. This is no different than buying from COMC on eBay. They will get your card to you in the stated time because they have to.

I wasn't even aware of the PSA vault thing, but won a few auctions for cards that were PSA Vault.

All came very quickly, each inside a pretty decent sized box, (I'd say 6 inches high, 6 inches wide, 8 inches long) packed well with brown paper and the card in an envelope.

A+ transaction from my end.

But do they sent through USPS or do they favor FedEx? I've had problems where FedEx can't deliver to my PO Box. We shall see.

I'm hoping someone can help me here because I'm getting nowhere with PSA on a "vault situation". Back in May I started using the "Send to Vault" checkout option on eBay to PSA on selected purchases. After a few weeks, cards started showing up as "Vaulted" under the eBay Vault tab. However, when I go to "My collection" on the PSA site (I've had a PSA membership for 15+ years), none of the cards are showing up as vaulted. I've sent numerous messages to customer service at PSA without a response and finally got someone on the phone yesterday at PSA. They told me that I needed to contact someone in their Vault team, but she said they don't have a contact phone number yet and provided me with a generic vault email. The only thing I can figure

that might be causing my problem is that I have a different email on file with eBay than the email I have on file with PSA. I asked (through an email) the vault team if the emails could be merged or should I change one or the other to get my cards to show up in PSA. Has anyone here had a similar experience or have a contact at the vault to solve my issue? Thanks in advance.

Hey, I had this exact same situation. I reached out to PSA and I was told to create a second PSA account using my eBay email address. I did so and all of the cards I have purchased from eBay were already there sitting in my new PSA account. It's annoying to have two PSA accounts, but it is a solution that worked for me. Best of luck!

Setting up the second account worked...I can see my cards in the vault...much thanks!...My next issue is how to get them mailed to me. Under the "actions" tab, the "ship from vault" option appears not to be available (only sell on ebay). Do they need to stay in the vault for a specific amount of time before you can have them shipped to yourself? Again, thanks for the help!
