I was not a fan of the new blue one for Smackdown but this is way worse with all the logos all over it.

Standard evolution, once Vince sold. There’s no way a company would pass on the ring mat being filled with sponsorships. It’ll look like a CMLL/AAA ring, no doubt.

All of the outside stuff says SmackDown. Seems a little off that they would throw the Raw mat down while setting up for SmackDown show.

The parallel to the ring camera angle helps hide some of it.

The next question is if it will be a regular thing, or if it was for the special night?

i read an article today about the sponsorship of hulk hogan beer and it said that the logo would appear in the corner of the ring mat, so i assume that it will be the norm to have sponsors. maybe some of them change, though. personally, i think they are using tonight to see just how far they can move raw away from what they have been doing and starting a new era. i bet there will be more changes to come when things settle in. tonight was maybe more glitz and glamour being in LA, i think we will see it start to really take shape in the coming weeks

Just saw the article as well. Not surprised, especially considering the fact that they merged with Zuffa and the UFC has been doing it for years. Not the first wrestling company to do it. NJPW thinks this is weak.

Also just saw an interview with Nick Khan talking about being open to it from back in 2023.

If they're going full mat logos I would like to see the PPV mats say the name of the PPV in the middle ie "Royal Rumble", basically the same logos they would have on the ring skirts. If not somewhere on the ring as I think mat relics containing pieces of the logo would be cool especially for big moments, don't care that much if I have a piece of Cricket Wireless lol
