Default Jalen Williams

For the 3 people here who actually care about basketball kid is gonna be a beast.

He was the best player by far at the combine, granted none of the lottery picks played but I think he played himself into that discussion.

He's gonna be a way better player than stringbean Chet for sure.

Can handle the ball, 3 level scorer potential, heady player, good PnR passer, not super athletic but long and rangey. Not comping him but ceiling is probably elite scoring secondary ball handler.

Prototypical combo guard with elite upside and being in the back half of the lottery or maybe into the 20s he's going to be able to develop his game over a year or 2.

Don't care about card prices but looking forward to bumping this one in 2 years after everyone tells me I have no idea what I'm talking about.

This the kid from Santa Clara or another Jalen Williams?

If the kid from Santa Clara, I liked his game. Haven't really been paying attention to any workouts though. Figured he could go anywhere from 17-second round.

He reminds me a bit of Paul George, coming out of college. Not current Paul George, who grew 3 or 4 inches in the NBA.

My only worry is his handle, he's not athletic enough to blow by people so he's going to need a great handle nd he doesn't have it.
In the late teens to #30 sure, I'd take a shot.

Yea, Santa Clara. He dominated the combine which I know doesn't really mean anything in the grandscheme but I think it proved he has an above average NBA skillset.

Agreed he's not blowing by guys in isolation but I don't see why that can't develop. The handle is functional enough and he's dangerous in PnR.

This draft is weird because it's super underwhelming at the top but after like the top 6-8 it gets super interesting.

I think the 5-10 range in the draft is really a solid spot to be in. Then, it feels like from 11 to the end of the first round there could honestly be 40 different guys in play. Just who a team falls in love with.

If I'm Dallas, Miami, or even San Antonio (four first round picks) I would take a hard look at Williams.

I'm secretly hoping the Cavs snag him at 14. Secondary creator, elite wingspan, high IQ guy, I think he would fit well

I'm intrigued by Shareef. I've never seen him play but probably a 2nd rounder based on name alone

"There’s nothing to dislike about his game. Nothing. He’s a bigger, longer Jrue Holiday at this age."

I don't really see the lockdown, point of attack defender, but interesting comp.

Best player from last year’s draft.

Must not follow basketball closely if you don't know who one of the lottery picks from last season was

Hoping Jalen and Jaylin go to the same team and drive play-by-play folks crazy.

I don't, the point was nbadraft.net compared this guy to a kid drafted last year whos nothing special. So i found it funny. I'm a long suffering Knicks fan, so I watch as much Knicks as i can stomach and not much else since my team stinks I find the rest of the NBA pretty annoying. So my interest in the SAS pick at #12 last year is literally at a ZERO

Jaylin Williams (2nd round) and Jalen Williams (1st round) are both going to OKC!

"One of those Jaylen Williams will pan out." - OKC front office, probably.

Not a huge fan of the fit from a development perspective. So much young talent on this roster it's going to be tough for him to get many touches.

One of the worst teams in the league has too much talent for the supposed best pick up in the draft to get playing time?

Dort might be gone so there’s his opening. Shai, Josh, Chet, Jalen. Not a bad young 4.

That is all
