Default Do you go to work sick?

Like not deathly ill, but head colds, fevers, and the such?

I get it from my kids and wife. They bring it home from the schools.

I am curious because I'm sitting at work right now, sick, chills, miserable.

I WFH, but still called out when I had COVID, because I couldn't get out of bed.

Go home.

Being sick at work isn’t a hero move.

Where is the " I beeline it straight to Urgent Care" option?

This is only slightly better than a Hairy Poll.

Urgent Care copay is significantly less than ER

Usually not, but depends on the day.

I feel something coming on today, but still staying here. Tomorrow may be another story.

No. Like JN mentioned above, there is nothing to gain from it.

Your boss should be reasonable enough to let you ride it out at home.

People that come to work sick are...

My boss doesn't care about infecting the office. I will call him sick as a dog, and he will still want me to come in to work. His response is always "You are in a separate office, We can stay away from you"

So I only stay home if I have a fever of some kind or usually the first day of a flu.

I can remember being asked to come in when I was on funeral leave because we were short handed. During our busiest time, I can remember telling my boss that my body was spent, extremely sick, exhausted. In 38 peak periods I believe I missed one day of work and I can remember it. We were told at one point over a decade ago that we were so short handed that we shouldn’t call in sick because they didn’t have the man power to cover any missing employees.

I'll take the sick days that are offered to me and aren't paid out if I leave the company or die, thank you very much.

The drive thru window doesn’t work itself.

I’m WFH too. I get 80 sick hours a year, can’t roll over, I use my time too. We get to use ours for Dr appointments, so I do(maybe that’s standard). You’d think they’d catch on no one really has a dentist appointment every Friday at 4
