Default Topps Flagship Gold, long term value!

I am a big fan of Topps Flagship Gold and think it's only going to become more sought after in the future, especially for HOF'ers. The Topps Black thread is probably my favorite thread on BO and I think Gold deserves one of its own. Given that it's more plentiful, more reasonably priced and has much more sale and trade action, there should be plenty to post about and discuss.

One of the questions I think about regularly, is how much a Gold RC of a first ballot HOF'er will go for in 20 years. 2,000 is a big print run until it is a card that everyone is after.

So post em if you got em. Here's one of my favorites:

I like that gold foil back then much better.

Today's gold's look blah in comparison

Nice golds. This is my favorite baseball parallel...large enough print run to find them (usually), but not too many out there.

I have complete (Series 1,2 Update) from each year all the way back to 2008. I build one each year. Very fun and not easy like a base set.

Yeah I’m a fan of the golds too. Less so in the recent releases...but it looks especially sharp in years with a border.

Finally one of these threads I can contribute to. These are some of the worse QC cards produced in the last 20 years. All the Albert's are cut with an upward slope on the top and so many of the Albert/ichiro ones are horribly O/C.

I agree. It's a nice alternative for those who like to own an SP but not pay a fortune. IMO the 2018 golds are one of the nicer looking releases. Same could be said for the blacks, and the Opening Day purple and blues.

This is incredibly impressive. That’s a real challenge each year. Kind of cool, though, that no matter who turns out to be a star or Hall of Famer - you’ve got em!

Thanks! Have ten more raw. All pretty nice. I was shooting for gems last sub, but think these are all at least 8s with a few 9s sprinkled in.
