Decisions, decisions. At least the Japan Edition provides the odds.

Blowout has boxes on sale for just under $100 a box. This is less than the price it was on Topps.com.
I believe it was over $140 a box to get them shipped to you.
Much lower print run than all the other Topps products, plus this has all the top rookies, you get 6-7 #'ed parallels per box, should be able to make a base set & have about a 50% chance at an auto.
I picked up 2 boxes, hopefully it's a good decision!

UK has about 14,117 boxes and Japan has about 11,697 boxes for the print run.

I would say the Japan version is a little better, but I think those boxes are going for $150. I don't think they are $50 better than the current $100 for UK. I would maybe pay $10-$20 more for the Japan boxes.

japan boxes are easily $50 better than UK.. the 1987 cherry tree's alone are generally worth that and sell quickly.. not to mention the ohtani inserts

i think i got 6 UK boxes this year... but am through over 2 cases of Japan at a nice profit and holding some big cards

I agree..i bought 3 of each..uk and japan when they came out and there's a lot more value in the Japan Edition in my opinion. I recouped my costs and was able to keep a complete set, cherry trees of Wander and Acuna and a cherry tree gold of Jeter in Topps Japan and that's with not pulling any big parallels. I won't come to recouping my money with the UK..the inserts are weaker and don't sell as well as the Cherry Tree 87s

I completely agree that the Japan versionis better, but $150 a box plus tax, it puts you at over $160, vs $100 shipped for UK. I just can't see on average the Japan box yielding $60 more in cards after fees ($75 more in gross sales) if you are trying to make money on 1 vs the other.
Also some time has passed, so I am guessing the resale is not as strong as it was for either, other than a few cards.

Just looked at ebay and Julio's 1987 base is still going for insane money. At least double from release.

was on the fence between UK and Japan. I really like the Japan parallels better but the $99.97 sale price on BO for UK and the fact I will have them in hand within 2-3 days instead of a week plus swayed me towards 2 boxes of UK.

ok couple of questions. I opened my 2 boxes from BO and pulled a Baseball Superstars Purple Auto Redemption /50.

1. Are these distinctively different from the ones in 2022 Topps Update ?

2. Where do you go about sending it in ? Through the regular Topps website ?

Just got my lowest numbered card ever on a BO Black Friday listing. Clayton Kershaw, CY-1 out of 5. Nice lil pull even though not too much $ value I’ll assume. Red 5/5
