Topps Redemption Replacement without request

I originally submitted my redemption in March 2018 and have been holding out to see if Kershaw signs again but Topps decided to just send a replacement without my request.

Replacement pictured below. Decent comp I think and better than some of the stories I have seen. It's just annoying they did so without request. I guess its better than Panini points.

That's a very good replacement, I would be happy with that as well.

I don't understand how some people have the patience to go over two years without going crazy waiting for a redemption.

When you redeemed that card, the pandemic didn't even exit yet - how much of life has passed by since that time and how long has Topps been getting a free loan from you since you entered that redemption code.

Can you imagine how many people have passed away while waiting for redemptions since 2018, and how many of those cards continue to go unclaimed?

It still disgusts me that card companies can get away with redemptions, especially since Kershaw has had numerous live cards in packs since 2018 in later released products.

Sounds like a class action suit in the making. If only we could unionize ourselves. Not really, but you know what I mean. As far as I understand, unearned revenue should be satisfies within a year.

Frankly, if I ever pull a redemption, I’m selling.

I waited because I wanted it but to be honest, I have been ready to request a replacement for the last year or so since Kershaw hasn't been signing for Topps in a while.

It is crazy to think that if something happened I know my wife wouldn't have any clue what to do about it and probably wouldn't really care.

Overall, this has been why I have avoided keeping redemptions ever since (unless its a lower tier player)

That's the reason I won't redeem anything unless I know that the card is already live.

It's understandable if you are a kershaw fan, but i've learned to just sell the redemption and buy a different live card if I really want the autograph.

I also try to avoid products that have redemptions for the player I want, so I don't accidentally pull them. Or worse, find out they are already expired.

They have been sending out a few replacements just recently. Quite a few did not request a substitute. I guess they are trying to close some of the old ones out finally. This was actually a win or wash.

Meanwhile, I can’t get them to update me on when yoan moncada will sign cards from 2021 despite having cards in 2022 product AND one of my redemptions appears to be live on eBay for a while now.

Solid replacement, still waiting on a 21 tork for a year and a half. It’s not his 1st bowman and I’m not a tork collector, but it’s still pretty annoying. I don’t ever really expect to see it. On the other hand just got shipping confirmed on my Trout Beam Team that i redeemed only a few weeks ago so happy that got fulfilled quickly.

Redeemed the card in 2019 by the way finally said screw it and put in for a replacement last summer and nadda. At this point the isn't even in MLB anymore so they probably can't find a comp that low in value. lol

how hard is it to sell Bryce stuff in a Nats uni that isn't an RC?

A Kershaw /5 Red Auto or a Harper /50 non rc Triple Threads. I'm with the OP I'd rather have waited on the Kershaw.

I haven't priced Harper Triple Thread stuff but I know I have purchased several PC guys /10 for less than $20. Triple Thread gets no love on the secondary market.

I’d be happy with it. The same card except /99 and in a BGS 9 slab with a 9 auto just sold for $250.
