Looks like they printed the hell out of this. Again. Over 1100 numbered parallels.

Wonder how much this will be out of the gate. Last year's Hobby is already at 130 and keeps falling.

I'll probably buy some singles of Newcastle and US players, but given that this will probably release at $250/box or higher, I wouldn't dream of buying any wax.....

Lets keep the malaise going. With a bit of effort we can get this to $60 a box in a few years where it belongs.

Why do they insist on having such crap colours for the more desirable parallels? it's so stupid.

PARALLEL: 2022-23 Panini Prizm Premier League - Purple Ice Prizm #/49
PARALLEL: 2022-23 Panini Prizm Premier League - Orange Prizm #/25
PARALLEL: 2022-23 Panini Prizm Premier League - Green Prizm #/5

It makes it almost impossible to colour match for a start.

FOTL Dutch Auction today. From Panini's website
Look for a 1 blue Shimmer autograph, 1 Prizm blue Shimmer #'d/8, 4 base silver Prizms, 5 numbered base Prizms, 7 additional base Prizm, and 6 inserts per box, on average!

Floor is $250, how close does it get to the floor?

Won't be allowed to go far below $300 or so as that's where pre-orders are at with the big retailers for regular hobby

Recent ebay sales for 20 & 21 FOTL all in the $225-300 range and can buy 2021 Hobby for $125 or less. Possible lack of confidence from the Big 3 & breakers might let this drop closer to the floor than people are guessing.

Some breakers have said they are buying at 300. I don't think it gets under that.

FWIW there's $312.50 then $291.67

I'd be in at the floor for a few but otherwise not likely to be worth the trouble.

Has anyone had the opportunity to look through the checklist for any notable rookies?

I've not seen it, but I mean, it's likely to be almost a carbon copy of everything else... it's not that great of a year, and they have all already got cards.

Garnatcho
Brenan Johnson
Romeo Lavia
Julian Alvarez

and then you have the likes of Bajcetic and Rico Lewis.

Bruno Guimaraes if you consider 25 year olds in their sixth year rookies.

There's also 31 different parallels for each player this year in Prizm, just to make those hot rookies worth even less lol.

Another FOTL at an embarrassing price ask and no checklist.

Cool.

Snagged one at $291.67. Had to click buy now multiple times to get past the high volume error message.

Looks like it sold out at that price, happy to get my single box at that price.

Why do you care how people spend their money? What impact does it have on you?

Some of us are collectors and fans of the product and the league. I make a decent living and one of the things I get enjoyment out of is buying a box of cards and opening it. This is a sports card forum right? Isn’t that kind of the point?

I don’t know if you’re directing any of your comment at me. But I came here to discuss the release and pricing of the product. Excuse me for being excited.

People buying crap at massively inflated prices keeps the hobby expensive for every single collector.

Breakers will get most of it, and people will then rush to pay hobby box prices for the "star" players and most will walk away with one or two base cards.

People are still paying 2020 prices but getting 2017 returns.

People that buy products without seeing the checklist are pretty silly.

Breakers are. 2400 FOTL boxes supposedly sold and zero currently listed on ebay is a pretty good indication the general public weren't the ones who bought most of it.

More than anything, I think it means flippers didn't get any. I think there will be a few people out there who got some at 300.

Buy to flip is dead and it's great. Buy to break is still pretty much alive.

I mean the floor on this was $250 and it sold at or slightly below what you’ll find regular hobby boxes priced at for pre-sale.

So what do you recommend someone like me does? I know it doesn’t have a checklist but this is one product I collect every year so it’s not always all that important to see the checklist. I know the big PL stars will be in it. I’m not just chasing rookies.

So for the same price as a hobby box, why not buy the FOTL version and get the extra parallel?

I dislike the breakers and flippers gobbling up product as much as anyone. But I’m also not going to sit on the sidelines for one of my favorite releases each year.

I'm sure your purchase of 0.0004166% of the available stock has a massive impact on the market.

We've seen people say it across these boards, but it bears repeating: Everyone engages in this hobby in their own way, so collect however you want!

I'm happy that you landed a box of a favorite product. But just make sure to share pics of your hits so that those of us who didn't grab any can live vicariously through you and get a little rush!
