This is kind of off topic but i don't know where else to put it and it does relate to basketball.
Cost is not the issue. I've owned every type of PC there is basically. High end Windows, $3500 Macbook pros, Chromebooks, tablets. I actually prefer chromebooks for their simplicity. They just work good for 90% of my daily tasks. Browsing the internet and streaming content and they're silent, no fans. Anyways what's the deal with League Pass not working on chromebooks this year? They always have in the past. Is it because Windows just signed a new deal with the NBA and is trying to strong arm people into buying their shty bloated virus malware systems? Granted i do have a windows desktop for things i need it for but only out of absolute necessity because there is no other alternative atm. I don't want to lug around a desktop when i travel. That is my issue when i travel, i need something for traveling to watch NBA league pass. Ive tried liking macbooks but i just can't get used to them they feel so alien to me. I'll give them credit they make a nice looking machine that is quality but i just cant do it. I've tried twice now to like them and convince myself i will get used to them but i just can't and ultimately ended up selling them both. It's too far different from what i learned on with windows growing up. Chromebook on the other hand were a breeze and was instant, virtually no learning curve at all. Yes i know they have their limitations. But that is what i prefer for 90% of my daily use no matter the cost. I also like that they're silent passive cooling no fans. And i don't have to worry about any bloatware or virus protection pop up ads and yearly subscription, malware protecion. Those are the main things that annoy me about windows pc's. Anyways anyone else having problems with chromebook not working for NBA league pass this year? It's normally not a big deal as i watch 99% of the games on my TV throuh the Roku app. But I was forced to buy a cheap Lenovo just to take with me when i travel so i can watch the games. So i guess windows won. I got tired of fighting with NBA support about the issue and gave in. Although i did give them a piece of my mind about it. Anyways end of rant. If I watch the game on my phone, it works great. If I cast it to TV, it is awful! Unwatchable 90% of the time. It isn't the wifi or TV, I am able to cast any other platform without a hiccup.
Very frustrating. |

When I cast to TV, I have to restart the app probably 10 times a game. And the NBA app is unusable on XBOX.

That was one of the things NBA support suggested to me was watching the game on my phone. And i said i don't want to watch a 2 hour game on a 5 inch screen that's not very comfortable. Anyways i got no where with them trying to resolve the issue after hours of trouble shooting. Telephone support told me there is no support for chromebooks this year. Twitter support told me that person was wrong and there is. Twitter guy was wrong because nothing works in my experience. I've tried every suggestion they have about 10 times. Clear the cache, delete your browsing history, reset your chromebook etc. None of it works. Guess i'm spoiled because i refuse to watch games on a 5 inch smart phone or whatever the screen size is. If i was 15 that'd probably be fine but i refuse to do it.
