Default 24/25 Season Discussion topic

lots of big storylines going into the year and we've got the 4 Nations Tourney as a nice midseason event that'll feature best on best for the first time since 2016

Also never ceases to amaze how many people are picking the Leafs, despite the fact they're worse than last year

Please, for the love of all that is good and holy, can the Sabres please make the playoffs? I don't even care if they get swept.

My bold (and probably dumb) predictions:

- Utah Hockey club makes playoffs
- Bedard in Hart conversation.
- Bruins fall off big time and struggle to make playoffs
- Ovechkin less than 20 goals

No California teams in the playoffs this year.
Auston Matthews leads the league in goals but the Leafs lose in round 1 again.
Ovy gets close but doesnt break the goals record
Worst 5 teams in the league are Columbus, Calgary, San Jose, Anaheim, Chicago.

Senators and Sabres make the playoffs.
Kings and Bruins do NOT make the playoffs.
Utah HC and Detroit come close but miss out on the postseason again.
Ovechkin comes close but does not reach Gretzky's goal record

Detroit will make some noise in the playoffs.

So much pessimistic views.

I think Kings will make the playoff this year again barely... Also, Bruins will make the playoff as long as they don't screwed up even more with Swayman...

If they can manage to stay healthy, should push for a playoff spot like they did two years ago. Ullmark should be a massive upgrade in net. Korpisalo was literally the worst goalie statistically in the league last year.

I know everyone laughed at us last year for the drop off but like Pinto gets suspended for half a season for no reason, Norris played about 5 games and any team that loses their #2 and #3 centres will struggle.

Add in that 2 of our top 4 dmen were hurt in the first month and it was a disaster start all around.

That intro and Owner puck drop at Utah was the most vanilla thing I've ever seen in the NHL.

Which is crazy. I was told before the signing that "tHe BrUiNs hAvE aLl tHe LeVeRaGe" with Swayman.

Then, Swayman crushed the B's for an extra $2 million per year, but then last night, we got to see what it would've looked like all year had the Bruins not resigned Swayman.

The Bruins had all the leverage. Lmaooooo. They botched every second of the off-season with Swayman and now it has already had an effect during the regular season.

Don and Cam are terrible. Terrible at drafting, terrible at trading and terrible at negotiating.

Bruins coaches need to remind the players not to slash the refs during the game.

Defense is the sieve, way too many odd man rushes. Won't matter who is in net with that.

Hope so, they were all set to make it last year and fell apart right at the end. I am ready for Hockeytown to become a thing again. Obviously, football rules the roost, but I think Hockey is better when the original six teams are in the mix.

I like the Tarasenko pickup. We have some good young talent. Goaltending still seems like a question mark.

I like the lineup for PP1 on the Habs. A lot of potential.

Montembeault stood on his end to finish the franchise shutout skid and a record to boot!

I like the most how Rooney gets his head slammed against the boards twice on one check. Team responds. Power play Canucks. About to start 3rd penalty kill. We have found the NHL dropmat of the season.

Correction: 4th. 15 min into season. This is embarrassing
