What are cool looking modern inserts that are still affordable?

I love the Kabooms, Downtowns, and Color Blasts, but they're a bit out of my price range for the most part. Are there any other cool looking rare or semi-rare inserts for modern?

Depends what you like, and what your definition of "affordable" is.

I have small to large collections of:

Cheap:
Donruss Net Marvels
Contenders Optic Historic Slams
Noir base pairs
Donruss Elite Spellbound
Hoops SLAM Magazine
Certified Graffiti

Mid-range:
Revolution Prime Time
Photogenic Championship Feels

Expensive-ish:
Court Kings Case Hits (Blank Slate, State of the Art, Aurora)
Color Blast

There's probably way more that will get mentioned but my brain is fried after a long week of work and dropping by trade night. You can also do parallel chases like One & One base and Revolution, to me those were more attainable than the crazy Prizm / Optic / Select rainbows, there are way too many of those and they keep adding so there is no consistency year over year.

Auroras generally aren't that expensive raw or PSA/BGS 9. 2021-22 is the first blah design; everything before that looked good to great.

I generally like Le Cinque Piu Belle cards.

2018-19 Gallery of the Stars.

The theme I'm hinting at is look at Court Kings case hits. Still wildly underappreciated, imo.

This thread has an alarming lack of photos. I guess I don't know how rare they are but I'm a huge fan of the points in the paint inserts. I like the big man focus from 2018-19, but all the years look really nice. Only have a 19-20 photo easily on hand.

I don't like that Panini have kept the recent release of Shockwaves and Supernovas very similar to the season prior. Typical Panini though.

Most All Star level guys sells for sub $100.

Really stunning cards.

I don't care how rare these Illusions Shining Stars. But they're really great looking cards. I'm putting the orange parallel set together right now.

Another vote for Flux Titans.

I only own one (Purple Scope Curry) but it’s probably my best-looking card. Flux Titans are still very affordable too. Be sure to pick up a Scope parallel as the card pops much better.

Thanks for the replies! As others have stated, looks are subjective, but this has really opened my eyes to what's out there. Picked up the Dirk, Duncan, and Lebron Championship Feels, really like the photography on those. Trying to pick up some Flux Titan's, although keep getting outbid, so I guess the secrets out.

They've basically been in strong demand since release.

I think I might've actually picked up the first Flux Titan Curry Scope listed on eBay (with no prior sales, I worked an off-eBay deal for $100 shipped).

I only have that one but wish I picked up many more of them in the first few days of release. Those were the nice "discount" days.
