Guardians got this.
AL EAST was weak.
All the Yankees got going for them is Aaron Judge. He will be walk because Francona.

It's been 74 years since Cleveland has won a Championship. The fans had their hearts ripped out in 1997 and 2016. And the 1999, 2006, and 2017 play-offs were also especially depressing. It's really time.

Unfortunately, unless the Cleveland hitters start hitting, I don't think they're going to be able to get by NY. It's the most 2022 Guards stat that they hit .178/.211/.260 during the Tampa series and won.

They don't hit enough home runs, which are important in the postseason. They have good pitching, but not as good as the Astros.

No one's pitching is as good as the Astros. Their rotation is so stacked they they've put studs in the bullpen. I'm not sure their bullpen is all that good, though.

Same here. He always gives up a homer or two and has one ugly inning (usually rattled by the HR, and more damage is done). I would have started Cortes.

They'll probably turn that around that in Game 1 with Cole on the mound.

Rooting for the Yankees, but truthfully outside of a great start this team has been shaky all season and injuries are still lingering all around the offense and bullpen.

Should still beat Cleveland, but between Cole/Cortes/Severino, all can pitch like a #1 or lose the game before the 6th inning by themself. Sometimes it feels like we're starting Kevin Brown or AJ Burnett x3, when we really need the stability of a prime CC or Pettitte

So here's the broadcast lineup for the game.

The network announced Monday “Bob Costas, Ron Darling and reporter Lauren Shehadi providing commentary for Yankees/Guardians.”

Better than Kay and Arod. My concern with the Yankees is I have no idea who is getting the last 9-12 outs. For Cleveland, they have Karnichak and Clase. They may blow it, but you know those are the guys. With the Yankees its like here kid, go out and close out a playoff game, no pressure.

Looks like the Guardians won't have reliever Nick Sandlin for the series or beyond if they make it.

I'll be traveling to NYC this week, and bought tickets to game 2 scheduled for Thursday. Weather is looking like it's going to rain all day Thurs. Any guesses on what will happen if the game is rained out? Would they move the game to Friday? Or any chance they preemptively move it to Wednesday? I don't go to many MLB games, so I'm not sure what to expect.
