Default What's the story behind this Kobe auto?

Came across a buyback Kobe auto on eBay yesterday that I found interesting. It says Paramount Flashback 4/4 auto. Is that some kind of special buyback program that Panini ran a few years ago? It does have the Mamba 24 sticker on the back that they have for all Kobe autos and a faint stamp on the front on the top-right. Looks nice, but haven't seen these buybacks before. Anyone know the story behind these?

I agree with Laurent. Paramount had roughly one buyback per case - pretty cool cards, I thought.

Is it Panini that handwrites the serial numbers on these? I always wondered and figured they did and not the players.

Always been curious about this too, but guessing the players aren’t numbering em.
