So.....who do you think is the next superstar to try and force a trade:
- Zion Williamson....because he wants to play in a bigger market - Luka Doncic....because he wants to be surrounded by players good enough to actually win a playoff series - Nikola Jokic....free agent after next season, could force a trade by refusing to sign a max extension - Joel Embiid...because he wants to actually make it to the NBA Finals - Rudy Gobert/Donovan Mitchell...because they realize that the Jazz will never be good enough to even make to the Western Conference finals, let alone win a title Thoughts? My pick is Zion..... |

I voted Zion. But Jokic should.

New York Knicks seem to have been prepping to be recipient of a forced KAT trade.

D. Mitch for sure.
Zion probably plays a full season. Why Embiid? He's gotten everything he wanted.. Not Luka, it's his own fault they can't get out of the first round.

Giannis.....he wants to go to a big market and would never consider re-signing with the Bucks

Zion just wants to play period, and Lebron only forces trades for teammates. Lol.

The only one on this list I can legitimately see trying to force a trade is Zion. I feel like the relationship between him and the organization is broken and he already wants out.

I think the most interesting situation is in Utah.
The current version has never made it past the second round of the playoffs, and they seem to be treading water while other teams are improving. Denver will have Murray & Porter Jr. healthy next year. The Clippers will have a healthy Kawhi & PG13. The Warriors will have their big three healthy entering next season. The Pelicans will have a healthy Zion. And the Grizzlies & T'Wolves both improved tremendously this year. Which means that all of a sudden the Jazz are looking more like a play-in team than a title contender. I think people are right in that Mitchell is more likely to want out than Gobert, but I don't think the market for him will be all that robust given how inconsistent and streaky he is. |

Clever, you make a stupid post, proven unfounded, then double down by making something up. “Dumpster fire” win a title, next year battle injuries forcing them to play the suns (best team in the west last year and best team in the league this year) and lose after being up 2-1 when ad goes down, and then this year face even more detrimental injuries causing them to miss the playoffs. Lakers are not a dumpster fire, they just got bit hard by the injury bug. It happens and is unfortunate. No one was calling the warriors a dumpster fire when they lost to an inferior team in the finals and then missed the playoffs 2 seasons in a row. Injuries happen and shape the results. New coach incoming and hopefully they retool the roster and come back next year as contenders.

I'm going to say Zion because that relationship looks broken and honestly the Pelicans can likely win without him so why not get a massive return to add more pieces? You're likely getting a top 8 pick anyways this year that can likely replace Zion. Next I'd say Donovan Mitchell.

Jazz would be crazy to keep Gobert over Mitchell. And those two don’t like each other. I can definitely see Gobert being on the block this summer, especially when they lose, because they’ll lose. I would love to see Chicago go after Gobert. That’s the main thing the bulls are lacking is a defensive big. Not sure if they’d be willing to trade Vucevic in order to get Gobert but as a bulls fan I would be all for it. At least I think I would be. Things change so much in the NBA every day and Vucevic was the best player on the floor last night for the Bulls in a hard fought game.
Edit: why can’t people have a simple sports discussion without personal attacks? It’s so immature. |

Zion Williamson - Seems like a real possibility but impossible to know his feelings without him seeing the court and feeling out his body language.
Joel Embiid - The Process isn't going anywhere. He loves Philly and we love him. Luka Doncic - Doubtful. At least not for a few more years. Nikola Jokic - Why go anywhere else when he can keep padding his stats and stealing awards Really though, and as others have stated, other key players coming back so its too early to call it quits. If any, a departure is a few years away, at least.Rudy Gobert / Donovan Mitchell - Could see both of these guys getting ancy if it doesn't pan out this year. This could be a Portland situation where it just isn't enough to get them over the hump and they start rebuilding.

Situations can change, fast. Butler has proven to be a bit of a loon in the past. Its not anymore far fetched than someone like Jokic being on this list.
