Because the gamblers and speculators have moved on.
Why get 4 Correa 1st Bowman auto PSA 9, when you could get 1 Bobby Witt? Why buy 6 Correa when you could have 1 Wander 1st BCA? The "To The Moon" phase of the game is over with Correa. It'll happen to Wander, Witt and whoever else is the next "The Guy." |

How about instead the 2012 Topps Chrome Bryce Harper Blue Auto in PSA 9 that sold for $975. He's won 2 MVPs in his 20s. Do Witt, Franco or any of the new Flavors if the Month have an expected higher ceiling than that? |

I'll take a stab at this question. First off, RC stuff is almost always cheaper than 1st prospect cards. And harper is a weird one, since he had many USA cards before his first pro chrome card. Including a 1st bowman usa chrome. He was also the most hyped prospect I think of all time. Cover of sports illustrated at 16. And I'd add that he hasn't had any playoff success. The Nats won the world series the year after he left. (I have the same criticism of Mike Trout, but there can really only be one king of the sport (Brady, Lebron, Trout, etc...) And many people who collect harper or trout on here will disregard this, but to me playoff success is imperative. Luka Doncic says hello. So people are banking on the fact that Wander Franco or Bobby Witt will become the next Mike Trout, more so than the next Bryce Harper. And I think Witt playing in Kansas City is a big bonus...#15

The odds of either of them being on a track to the hall of fame at 27 (like Correa) are highly unlikely.

Witt is the best prospect I've seen since Mike Trout. no hyperbole. He is going to be an absolute star.

no doubt the Astros cheated, but they also went to the WS 3 of the last 5 years and went to the ALCS 5 years in a row, with Correa being the starting SS. you'd think his key card would be worth a lot more than $250, especially for a Gold Glove 2X All-Star WS Champ
