Anyone have anything to report on this? I just picked up a case of blasters at a fair price, but not really sure what I'm looking for.

I would just sell it. I did 2 blasters. both were terrible. I think the best fighter rc is Natalia silva. should be $5 a box

Just finished the case. Pretty happy with it. I should point out that I bought this at wholesale prices, not retail.

Pulled $160 worth of Alex Pereira - (4 base, 1 refractor, 1 sepia)
Pulled 5 autos: Dominick Reyes, Marvin Vettori, Geoff Neal, Andrei Arlovski refractor /150, Junior Dos Santos Gold Refactor /50.
Only other numbered card was a gold refractor Allen & Ginter Tatiana Suarez /50.

Overall - pretty fun break. Lots of refractor cards to look at for grading or send to COMC.

I mean, maybe, but you'd be lucky to get $10 for the Arlovski, and you can pick up on card autos of JDS for $5-$10 which you're going to want over a sticker auto every day of the week.

That's amazing after seeing a full Hobby case produce a single Pereira base card

I just picked up two more cases of these blasters to rip. Easy value with the Pereira cards in there paying for 25% of the case. Obviously, I'm not paying retail price on these. Actually getting them for less than original factory price.

That’s honestly brutal outside being saved with some pereira buyback.

That auto list is on the higher end of expected as most of the big name autos can’t be pulled from retail but still nothing there worth anything.

That’s also really bad compared to what you’d get from 20 Megas. For the same money you’d get 20 autos instead of 5, and Megas also have a numbered card in nearly every box, so you’d probably have got ~15 additional numbered cards. If you didn’t hit Alex so hard it would have been awful.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll also be using all the different refractors/RC's for my $1 and $4 boxes at the national and there were a ton of those.

I am buying these wholesale, not retail. For the sake of comparison - at the price that I just picked up 80 more blasters for, I am only able to get 21 Megas. Would you still prefer the megas in that situation? Honest question.

That is on purpose out of respect for Blowout who is also selling this item. At are price I am currently paying, the question is 80 blasters versus 21 megas.

That’s a hard question to answer, for me at least. The problem is this is just such a terrible product. At retail it’s one of the worst products of the year in any sport (retail at least hobby could be a little better).

There are zero rookie chases, and the best autos were made hobby only. So as a collector what am I hoping to pull? It’s basically like a Merlin soccer blaster where you throw away every card except the 1 numbered card per box.

Blasters I might open if I was getting them for $10 a box. Mega is clearly the better format, but at $60 is a bloodbath. Would be a bloodbath at $40.

I know this product is dead but anyone know if they're still accepting buybacks? The page is still live but I didn't see any cut-off. Saw a lonely mega I was going to grab cause I'm a degen but wanted to know first about buyback possibility.

UFC is dying a painful death. PPV numbers are scandalously bad.

What are your sources for the PPV numbers?

I have heard the UFC and the Hobby is dead since the Tito and Chuck days... yet the expansion continues. Sure there will be boom and bust cycles as with everything.

With all the free events and illegal streaming, makes sense PPVs are down... the discussed move to Netflix is smart and that will expose the UFC to even more fans.

The world is in a bit of a hold and wait and see right now... good time to buy some rare early cards to stash away.

Anecdotally no one I know (nor are many outside diehards or those who would have it regardless) is paying for an ESPN+ subscription than paying the PPV price on top of that just to watch UFC.

UFC was at its peak when you could catch a Fight Night just scrolling through channels or a TUF. UFC’s crackdown awhile back on illegal streaming as well as streaming in bars etc without the insane fees has definitely affected popularity as well. There’s also no stars, casuals knew Jon Jones, McGregor, Ronda, Holly Holm, if you’re not a UFC fan I doubt you could name one champion right now.

I think it will be akin to boxing purses keep going up and a lot of money is made on big fights but anyone being realistic will say it’s not on people’s tongues the way it was during the Tyson era for example
